Despite the fact that the conflicts over the Bible have caused wars and countless death across all of history, and at even one point halted the advancement of the human race because of the Church's overwhelming control, let's only point out of the fact that "it makes people hate gays."

the book does not make you hate gays at all it only gives you moral grounds to do so if you wanted but it lists a lot of things as sins so people getting hooked up on one sentence in the old testament are doing so because they want to hate gay people.

you know, I feel a double standard here, not about what you said but when any other religion is made fun of or misinterpreted people go all white knight on it but if a christian tries to set straight a misinterpretation or explain something about our views there's a sea of red thumbs going their way

usually it wouldn't bother me but it's starting to piss me off

Nowhere in the bible does it say 'Don't wipe your ass with these pages'. Nowhere in the american constitution does it say 'Don't set our flag on fire and piss out the flames'.
It doesn't make it any less disrespectful, retard.

No there isn't.
It's a book made for reading and interpretation.
If it were used in a situation where it was desperately needed, for example as fuel for a fire on a freezing cold night, that's acceptable. But if you're just going to make a mockery of it by reducing it to something as common as a plate when it means so much to so many people then you're just an asshole.

Atheists use an ignorance fallacy to rationalize their atheism: they don't understand how God exists, so they say that he doesn't exist at all. This sort of reasoning is akin to saying that extra-terrestrial civilizations don't exist because humans haven't discovered any yet. The human brain is all the evidence we need of an intelligent designer. But on top of that we also have the Bible with thousands of fulfilled prophesies, and rooted historical evidence of Christ. Simple logic leads to the reality and truth of the resurrection. Why are they so willfully ignorant? Many atheists simply hate the truth, and twist things to fit the lie they love. They don't want God,so they simply close their eyes to the obvious and then use the arguments that are simply based on the ignorance and hatred, but very little on logical fact.If your eyes are twisted, then the picture you will see will also be twisted.

it's not against the law to disrespect religion though, that's why I see draw Mohammad on draw Mohammad day, still use bible pages as toilet paper, and I would disrespect the jews but they don't actually care about their religion, only money, so there's really no reason.

Because people have more respect towards the Harry Potter series than the bible.
Also Harry Potter books are probably more worth.

That man is possibly the most religious person ever. He ran out of plates and then the only thing he could think to protect his pizza from the unwashed microwave plate aside from something specifically made to do so was the holy force of the bible. His utter respect, that he would place so much trust in a single book with the food that sustains his body, his very life, is remarkable.

It would be awesome if by some strange miracle in technology, the radiation from the microwave particles would force the pizza to fuse molecularly with the bible and make an edible pizza-flavored bible

I don't care who you are or what you believe, but that is kind of a dick move, putting the very core of somebody's belief system in a microwave and using it as a plate for pizza.

Also that bible would catch on fire and fry dickhead's pizza. Dickhead is also a dumbass.

Just because people believe in something doesn't mean you should respect it. The bible doesn't deserve respect simply because people believe it's true.

The Bible should be treated with the same level of respect you would treat any other book with. Using a bible as a plate for heating up pizza is disrespectful to the authors of the book, and it's disrespectful to the millions of people who base their lives around the book. I would say the same thing about any book, if it was a picture of Mein Kampf being used as a plate I would find it equally disrespectful, though perhaps Hitler and his Nazis are slightly less worthy of respect.

Why not?

He's being intentionally disrespectful. He is using the Bible as a plate. To warm pizza. How is that not intentionally disrespectful?
Also: he took time to take a picture of it.

Last time I checked the glass plate in that microwave works just fine while one is heating pizza.
