Saying "I am a WOMAN and I do (whatever)" or I am an independant black man , or even I am a black man , is itself racist , because you are discriminating people from people, when you call someone racist that , is itself racist.

what you should do is do whatever you love to do and if someone said "You are a woman you should be doing (whatever)" then kindly ignore them and continue to do whatever you are doing, because by ignoring this you will allow the general opinion on women doing something to become the norm , and it will die out eventually but if you are to call those people "Sexists!" you will only make the problem even worse.

this is exactly like how you used to be in highschool where there is the "jock , nerd, goth, emo etc" , why do you think this stuff isn't talked about anymore after highschool? because no one calls themselves an "Emo" anymore for example, they just do what they like to do.

I'm all for laughing at racist/sexist/homophobic jokes... if they're actually funny. Let's face it, this website has the collective wit and mannerisms of Adam Sandler.

Making posts reminding us of it isn't helping.

In fact me posting a comment here is contributing to it. The more we pay attention to it the more it grows, racism and sexism is like a troll, if you give it attention it grows and gains power because more people are aware of it.

I agree wholeheartedly with the content posted here, monkeys have a million uses, and are hardly something I would consider worthless.

What if you don't care about sexism or racism? What if you hate everyone alike, male or female, black or yellow?

By looking at the comments, I'm pretty sure about fifty percent of funny junk are twelve year old white boys who have no idea what they are talking about. Did I mention they wear fedoras?

They literally can't tell the difference between a hateful comment based on someone's personality and a hateful comment towards everyone of a single gender, skin color, etc regardless of their actions. Institutional hate is a lot different from individual hatred.

Don't forget the delicious hypocrisy of the community. "I don't judge people by their race or gender! Stop telling me I'm being racist, it hurts my feelings." "LOL ****** ****** GET IN THE KITCHEN phanact!!!!"

We're assuming that everyone is talking exactly the same in this situation. Tone is a big influence on what is perceived as hurtful to other people. It seems everyone nowadays is so concerned with being the "victim" of the other groups. The only reason white men seem to be the center of it is that for the longest time, that was the main reason for groups (i.e. minorities, women) felling oppressed. That doesn't mean it's right or fair for anybody, but you have to understand where these misconceptions can come from. I would also like to state that I agree with the message being put across, it's much better than all this bigoted nonsense.
