i am making a suit of armor currently.
im starting from the gauntlets.
im using 22 gauge galvanized stainless steel for the whole thing, and then brass or copper for decorations
this is the first time i ever worked in metal, so i dont know exactly what gauge is or how hard steel is. i am also weak as hell, and i dont think ive ever seriously lifted.
i got me some aviation pliers or tin snips or whatever the hell those things are called.
and i start cutting.
that was last night
my hands are now bruised, beaten and bloody. i require 20 small finger pieces, each that take about 10 minutes to cut out roughly, after im done, i have to file them down to the exact shape.
im only up to 12. i regret this decision, but in the end it will be badass.

Galvanized steel is probably not what you want in contact with your body, and tin snips sounds like a hell of a lot of work. You should look up how armor used to be made, and see whether you can get a good ball-peen hammer and anvil and beat the metal into shape or maybe forge it.

However, forging galvanized steel releases toxic fumes of the deadliest variety. Unless you want pulmonary failure, don't forge galvanized steel.

what if you get new armor and it's shining? no one liked the intentional holes in your jeans fad.

Is it me or does Pussy Knight sound like a good name for a Pussy Riot tribute band?

It's a wordplay you taters. "A knight in shining armor is a man who never had his mettle truly tested."
