Or just one who's really 						*******					 rich and successful and can fix, polish or even replace his armor after battles, so he doesn't have to fight in shabby, low quality, damaged and partially ineffective armor.

In fact, the wealthy would have repaired their armour constantly, almost always making it shiny, and the not so wealthy who even had armour would have passed it down the family line, and would have years and years worth of scratches and dents.
