police are not protectors of law, they're enforcers of debt. Policemen and supporters of police should stop blaming government for things and look at themselves. Police are nothing but they obeying enforcement arm for the powers that be. They have nothing without police or military. So all i ask is stop blaming government. The people in power are idiots, there will always be idiots. Look at yourself before you judge.

But wouldn't the EMTs and an Anbulance be responding to a report of a dying boy? The police would only come if something was afoot

It's not even the cops who answer 911 calls.
When you call 911 you are directed to a communications dispatch center.
Once you tell them the info they send out the appropriate people for the situation eg, cops or firemen.

I can imagine being a police officer would be at least somewhat boring at times. From what I understand, they have to spend a lot of time doing patrols or paperwork and not much else.

It wouldn't be a police officers job to "get my dying homeboy", anyway.

I'd ask for an ambulance.

You know sometimes it's the second line that makes people think of the first.

At least it was with me, my city can't be bothered to fight real crime and the flourishing drug trade, but instead is more than willing to give out tickets for parking too far/close to the sidewalk.

Last time I called the cops was because someone was getting mugged at knifepoint.

Took them a ******* hour.

Nah they don't get paid like that, but best not have money on you when they arrest you. Some cops can be dicks and just take it for their own leaving you little bail money if you hold all your cash.
