Well, Jesus was Jewish and if Jesus exists (as the son of God) then the whole Old Testament is correct, so he sees no reason to change his believes either

To quote the user trostell:
"Actually, the idea for the superhero is based on the god, Thor, BUT, the superhero's family all share the same traits as Norse gods, live in Asgard, and are nigh immortal beings that can travel between dimensions. According to the history of the superhero, he saved humanity long ago, during the age when Vikings ruled the seas, and thus, he and his family were revered as gods by the Vikings."

In the Marvel Universe (Like the other guy said) Valhalla was an alternate plane and world. Using the technology of the Bifrost they crossed to many worlds, including Earth, where they encountered the Norse during their viking age, who came to revere them as gods because of their mystical abilities. They were not actually gods. They were mortal. They were aliens to Earth.

Thank you, damn, I never thought so many people would need it explained to them.

There are currently 112 thumbs down, I'm guessing about a third are comic book fans who didn't understand the movies, a third are atheists who thought I was defending the Christian religion, and a third are both.

"Do you know why the gods demand blood? It's because Gods don't bleed"

-Tzekel-Kan, Road to El Dorado

Gods are immortal beings.
In the Marvelverse Loki is a Frost Giant from a plane that is not Valhalla and Thor is granted all of his powers from his hammer Mjolnir, without which he is essentially as useless as Tony Stark without his Iron Man suit.

Gods are not immortal beings. All over various mythologies, gods die all the time. And all the norse gods are going to perish in Ragnarok.

Typically a god is an immortal, Greek, Christian, Egyptian, etc... they all have immortal gods.

Also, for the religions that have gods dying, they were killed by other gods. Mortal man cannot fight a god. Loki and Thor are both mortal men. Superhuman in comparison, but still mortal men.

WRONG. All the gods are 'real' in South Park. You meet Moses, Buddha, even Muhammed the prophet, just censored, because you can't show him. And in a later episodes you learn that they are real because of human fantasy. So in South Park, every person's religion is real.

Gods
the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe

Aliens could very well fit this in the eyes of a primitive humanity

Good point, though I do have one correction:

The gods of Norse mythology were far from perfect, omnipotent, and omniscient. They, rather like the Greek gods, acted like petty, superpowered children with anger management issues.
