If only I were rich, I would buy Morgan Freeman to come stay at my house, so that he could read me bed time stories at night. My life would be perfect.

When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to that of the first body. So whenever there are those who keeps on talking about how they were oppressed in the past; there are those who will be opposing them, like racist groups or groups who are starting to feel something called "learned apathy".

It is my understanding that there is a lack of understanding about racism here.

Yes, racism is "Oh look I bet that black guy steals."

Racism is also "I'm not hiring this filthy ****** to work for me."
The second one is much harder to get rid of. You can't just not talk about it.

The thing about the history of african americans is that it's one of America's greatest sins. It's about awareness of that, not trying to say white people are less important. They've only achieved equal rights a few decades ago, which I assure you is far from ancient history. Those who forget history will repeat it.

But solidarity is important, as Morgan says. We don't want to treat certain ethnic groups special. We don't want ******** accusations of racism because we're too focused on differences and suspicious about ourselves. But we also don't want to forget our follies, and our common ground as people, and repeat them. It's a balancing act.

I have Somalians in my area. If everyone realized that every new immigrant group in the U.S. goes through the same rough patch in finding their place and the same discrimination, THEN they find their prosperity and the ill-will gets forgotten... they they wouldn't be so hostile at them. People forget, and so they commit the same mistake.

Remember, racism is just stereotyping by race. Everyone will always judge/stereotype. You can be judged by your preferences, your style, appearance, profession, age, gender etc. It's instinctive to create stereotypes and base assumptions about people/things.

Everyone does it - however it takes a close minded idiot to assume that stereotypes are absolute and cannot be broken.
