Every commercial I saw as a kid said no tears as in it won't hurt your eyes. They even went out of their way to show a kid wiping a bunch of lather from his eyes and smiling as they said that part.

When I was little, I had seen the shampoo bottle blinking in the commercials. Now, being 5-6, I was like, "Hell, yes! I want that 						****					." Asked mom to get it, she did. Then, my friend Elizabeth and I sat and watched the bottle for at least three hours, just waiting for it to blink.

In the spanish promo of this shampoo, they traslated as ¨no mas lagrimas¨

So yeah, everyone in Spain thought that they were talking about tears.
