that doesn't mean he did it well
User avatar #19 to #13 - Crusader (07/08/2013) [-]
In the span of 6-8 days he managed to not only become aware of zombies, but he rescued 2 chicks, survived a gunshot, helped wipe out a (albeit rudimentary) military installation.

And oh yeah, he went on to attack Gotham with the help of the league of shadows
Twice

thats worth more than the entire second season of the walking dead in my opinion

The entire series* The Walking Dead is a terrible show where they disregard plenty of great options to go after something more dangerous, and then have convenient occurrences to get their dumb asses out of the trouble of which they put themselves into. The gun realism is terrible, and the amount of convenient plot twists ruins it.

[small]I enjoy the show, if not for the fact it's endlessly entertaining to see zombies get shot in the face.[small]

If they didn't make those dangerous options, their wouldn't of been a story.

I was trying to make a joke about Lori being a bitch. Didn't work, though.

How is wiping out a military installation a good thing?
User avatar #224 to #223 - Crusader (07/09/2013) [-]
I never said it was, but it is remarkable.

But wiping out that installation was a good thing, because they were a group of corrupt soldiers that tried to rape any female that went near there, and were there purely for the purpose of being there.
User avatar #225 to #224 - masdercheef ONLINE (07/09/2013) [-]
Oh, ok. The way you listed it with all his other accomplishments made it seem a positive thing (which in the end, it was, apparently. ******* rapist bastards.)

And there are indeed more than one type of zombies, so yeah, **** your argument.
User avatar #146 to #133 - welfarekid (07/08/2013) [-]
Originally zombies were people who raised from the ground, and epidemic zombie apocalypse did not come around for man years later.
User avatar #196 to #133 - undeadwill ONLINE (07/08/2013) [-]
Actually zombies are defined a being that is dead, brought back to life by any means (This includes, disease, magic and bad writing)
After that they can do anything as zombie are not solely confined horror genre. We've had zombies that have sex, talk, walk away from eating, and etc.

The ones that do try to eat people do so because the disease has damaged the frontal lobe. Or because magic, bad writing, and etc. Don't need to explain **** .

Yes we all know they are infected not zombies, but the movie gives the feel of the zombie film hence, who cares what we call it.
User avatar #175 to #133 - nucularwar (07/08/2013) [-]
Wrong, zombies are they most common hostile mob. They burn in sunlight and sometimes carry objects or wear armor.

They are zombies. There is more than just one kind of zombie. A zombie is something that comes back from the dead and in 28 days later they say that a person is dead before he transforms and becomes infected
User avatar #200 to #184 - majortomcomics (07/08/2013) [-]
No they don't die before they become infected they are still alive.
User avatar #206 to #200 - mads (07/08/2013) [-]
There is a part in the film when one of them gets hit by a car and dies. Then comes back to life. I studied the film in detail.
User avatar #221 to #206 - majortomcomics (07/09/2013) [-]
Read. In the comics it clarifies that they are still living. That tends to be the difference between zombies and infected.
User avatar #208 to #206 - majortomcomics (07/08/2013) [-]
Not in most cases, however. In the film, they are still conscious. It's like the headcrab deal. They are alive but overwhelmed/controlled.
User avatar #176 to #133 - shadowmaul (07/08/2013) [-]
I agree sorta with wikit they arent zombies since a gun shot to the stomach or something kills them and if im not mistaken zombies can only die from headshots

User avatar #121 to #114 - yunablade (07/08/2013) [-]
We don't watch that for thee acting.

We watch it for the storyline, character development, kickass zombie makeup and the glorious violence.

But all those reason are superfluos compared to Daryl ************* Dixon.
User avatar #125 to #121 - amuro (07/08/2013) [-]
then, read the comic. You can read in 10 minutes or less what you see in a TV show for an hour.
#135 to #125 - ArturoLopez (07/08/2013) [-]
Yeah, the story is ******* rad. I read the graphic novels but the show is such a disappointment for me. Except the make up, that ***** dope. But the acting, oh god.
User avatar #126 to #125 - yunablade (07/08/2013) [-]
No daryl dixon in the comics, sadly.

BUt yeah I have read them and IMO they are better than the series.

Walking Dead comics started in 2003, 28 Days Later came out in 2002. Seems like the writer for the Walking Dead may have been inspired by this movie.... hm..
User avatar #181 to #120 - slugnugget (07/08/2013) [-]
That first walking dead issue came out in October of 2003. 28 Days Later was released in the States in June of 2003.
User avatar #219 to #181 - onkii (07/08/2013) [-]
So, regardless, 28 Days Later still came out first
#21 - anonymous (07/08/2013) [-]
Didn't the walking dead come out 1 year after this movie?
User avatar #41 to #21 - jesusnipple (07/08/2013) [-]
The Walking Dead premiered on October 31, 2010, on the cable television channel AMC in the United States. It premiered internationally during the first week of November 2010 on Fox International Channels.

28 Days Later is a 2002 British horror film directed by Danny Boyle. ... The film spawned a 2007 sequel, 28 Weeks Later, a graphic novel titled 28 Days Later: The Aftermath, which expands on the timeline of the outbreak, and a 2009 comic book series 28 Days Later.

Nope. The comic book series did come out a year before The Walking Dead premiered though.
