I can only imagine the terrifying ways the zoom lens will be utilized by snipers in the future. Maybe not even need to have a scope on their weapon?

For the contacts, I have a question: Can you where them and change how far they magnify your vision, or do they have to constantly magnify your vision 3x?
User avatar #139 - srskate (07/03/2013) [-]
I know others have posted this link: www.extremetech.com/extreme/160052-worlds-first-telescopic-contact-lens-gives-you-superman-like-vision

but Goddamn! Read that **** . The human race just ******* built eye magnifying glass, and its wonderfully scientific and complex. Its just beautiful. Read it.

>cloning a mouse from single drop of blood

Not too hard. Cloning is a fairly established thing done on bigger, more complex mammals than a mouse, Assuming it was done in the conventional way.
Using a single drop of blood isn't hard at all and relies on a protocol that high school students do.
What would be impressive would be cloning without use of a living embryonic mother.
Gif is my dreams for future cloning potential.

How is the cloning one new? Cloning only requires an oocyte (egg cell) and a somatic cell (skin, liver, heart, blood, whatever).

I find it hard to believe that they haven't done it with blood yet when it's just as easy with skin, for example.
