I know you never really have an escort mission with her but, my god, the attachment I felt to this little girl...
#262 - yourmomisaslut (06/28/2013) [-]
Who else was expecting GLaDOS to betray you by the end of the game?
I wasn't believing a word she said during that entire underground segment
User avatar #254 - rhiaanor (06/28/2013) [-]
They aren't escort quests because they dont actually get hurt, and also The Walking Dead definitely isn't because you don't even have to do anything. You insult the badness of escort quests.

Still don't understand why Last of Us is so special.
#207 to #200 - creepyunclebob (06/28/2013) [-]
Partly just the natural hype that comes with a Naughty Dogs game, partly some unusual ideas - escorting a young girl who isn't an annoyance or a love interest, scavenging for rags and sticks instead of being showered with guns and ammo, that sort of thing.

Escorting GLaDOS was the saddest mission. When you find out that she used to be Caroline, Cave Johnson's assistant, and was forced to become an DJ 4DM1Nistrative Robot made me sad.

I have heard nothing but reviews that are so glowing you could leukemia from them by farting on a schoolgirl's big toe.
Unfortunately, I don't have a PS3 so I have no way of playing The Last of Us so I'm hoping that they re-release it for the PS4 which I'm getting.
I also hope they do they same with the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X HD remakes. As tempting as it sounds, I wouldn't get a PS3 just for those.
User avatar #84 to #81 - EpicFace (06/28/2013) [-]
fair enough hope you get to play them some time. They're both something to experience

I don't know...
I don't think POTaDOS really counts as a "escort quest".
If anything, the companion cube chamber in the orignal portal is more of an escort quest than POTaDOS...

Well, Elizabeth wasn't an escort mission either.
You didn't have to protect her or anything. She just kind of followed you.

I enjoyed bioshock infinite because it was so colourful compared to bioshock one, but played similarly but a fair bit better.

On top of that it felt like I was playing through a really gritty Dreamworks movie.

I really disliked the ending to it though. There was no lead up to it for your character. It was just sprung on him, he meets his own fate, roll credits.

Dewitt is sitting at his desk, you hear a baby crying, he gets up, opens the door and reaches down to pick up the baby. That's where it ends.

Not to be an ass, but that's not nearly enough time to dictate an opinion on whether or not a game's story is worth it or not. I've had games I dislike but I give them more of my time then two bloody minutes.

The show is **** , but the comics and game is amazing.
User avatar #305 to #299 - neutralgray (06/29/2013) [-]
Well, I dislike the show to a great extent. The show bores the living Hell out of me. But I tried the game because of its ratings and found a game worth playing. It's entirely different from the show. It's also exclusively set in the comic verse so the game got me into the comics. The game won me over to a franchise I was completely indifferent/uncaring about.

If you ever play it again you may still not like it. Who knows. But it won me over. Don't think of it as "The Walking Dead." Think of it as "zombie game with apparent emotional traps that may or may not make me care about it." It may help if you remove the brand from the product if you ever give it another chance.
User avatar #309 to #305 - deadmanisalive (06/29/2013) [-]
