Yeaaaa but not really. As the anon comment below shows (anon did something cool for once, who knew) Sparta was a militaristic state and made the majority of their income by raping and pillaging nearby land. Furthermore, Sparta was still an aristocracy and the whole idea that Sparta didn't care about their lineage was a load of crap, soldiers would bare the crest of their lineage on their shields when they went off to battle. While the top 10% of the most powerful families in Sparta lived like kings in a near utopia, the remaining 90% lived in squalor and were typically slaves, indentured servants and if you were lucky you were a merchant. Otherwise you were off to battle dying for your state. Isn't history fun?

Paternal lineage. As in the male side of the family was less important.

"Helen of Troy" was known as "Helen of Sparta" before she crossed the sea to Troy.

Spartans also liked to kill slaves for sport

Spartans also had so many slaves that they wouldn't expand because it was to much of a risk to have the army leave while the slaves remained

If that was how nature intended it to be it would be called Human Selection rather than Natural Selection

He wasn't asking her permission for christ sakes he was checking to see if she shared his assessment of the situation. Learn to read body language. A wise man knows when to get a second opinion from someone with less testosterone.

Oh boy... if you think this ****** true then I just feel bad for you. Way over-exaggerated facts being spewed by an idiot.

Again, ninety percent of this post is lies.

Lies and fiction.

Use your powers of google, and research, to find the truth.
