Unfortunately many, if not most, people don't do their research to support their claim.

But I think they're saying in their lifetime, not who was raped in college. The stats arent clear about the reported assaults- when they happened.
I agree 1 in 4 is a lot, but this does not reaally prove anything either except the amount of girls assaulted in college. 3 colleges.

Need more info OP

Statistics like this are useless anyway.

You can't say 1 in 4 women *will* be raped.

There could be an area where rape is extremely high which causes a statistical anomaly. That would completely skew the results.

Also as a sidenote, that 1 in 4 number isn't even about rape, it's about sexual harassment. Those are two completely different things.
Sexual harassment includes shouting "hey sexy" or even looking at a woman's breasts. This is not rape and pretending it is is just ******* stupid.

Yeah, but at Penn State, every girl gets raped two or three times, so that's why we got 1 in 4, and that's not including the kids.

Okay so the 1 in 4 stat is obviously complete ******** unless you define rape extremely loosely as some extreme feminists do (like verbal sexual harassment or something), but I just don't understand why you only used three universities in your counterstatistic.

Not sure how it is in college, but being a young E-3 in the Air Force, I've seen a lot of issues with rape. Basically, everyone gets wasted at parties, girls and guys go home together, Get jiggy with it, and then a week later there is a court marshall for rape claims. I guess it's a women airmen's way of saying "Nah, nevermind, wasn't really feelin it." When most of the time it was the women who were making the moves.

TL;DR- some girls are vicious in the Air Force.

Okay sure a lot of them are not reported but Add 100 to the number of reports. The 1 in 4 statistic is still bull ****.

There are many many maaaaaaaaaaany who dont report it. Because of fear or that little thing called rapeculture that also implies that some rape cases can be the victims fault. If you want to argue that there are many falsely accused cases then yes there may be some and it's terrible but it's maybe about 0,06 percent. The thought that many or almost all rape cases are false also belongs to rapeculture I could go on and on

i think the "1 in 4" thing comes from the fact that if the girl is impaired in any way (like, if they've had a sip of alcohol), they call it rape. these kinds of "rapes" almost never get reported, but they're still put in the statistic

In the UK, 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence and 1 in 7 men experience it also.
Its not relevant but its kinda all I know

Men are the superior gender and they have to realize that. The only reason why we let them think they are equal to us is so we can **** them. We know if we told them the truth they wouldn't have sex with us, so we pretend and let them think what they want. I swear once we find a way to make babies without needing women they will become our sex slaves.

The funny thing is about the "rape culture" is that when looking at statistics of the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australlia etc. The number is much lower than their claims while all the rape from our vile culture magically occurs in corrupt African countries. This is all because our magically evil rape culture makes it so rapists are magically all born in countries like Nigeria and influenced by evil raping westerners to be rapists while the evil "rape culture" dosen't actually rape. They use statistics from 1 country to talk about how a different country is evil, yep makes sense
