Britfag here and i've never liked american chili. It's mince moosh.
2 cans of kidney beans in chilli sauce; 2 cans of chopped tomatoes; ~400 grams of mince [lamb, beef, pork, whatever]; Ass tonne of mushrooms; 2 onions, red; 2 Garlic cloves; Small mountain of chili flakes

Essentially start by cooking the mince, adding salt, pepper, half the garlic.
Add the vegetables, half the chili flakes. Cook until the onions are soft.
Add the 4 cans of tomatoes and kidney beans. If you're a fancy ************ add a splash of red wine too. Throw in the rest of the garlic and chili flakes. Leave on small flame with occasional stirring for 1 hour. For maximum tastes, let it cool for another hour, then reheat on large flame for 10 minutes. Britchili. Costs just under a tenner, feeds 4-6. Students, you are welcome.

I just buy Chicken Noodle Soup and Pot Stickers (chicken dumplings, pretty much) and rock out with that cheap but tasty food.

Got a friend at university who literally eats nothing but spaghetti with butter and salt.

No sauce. Just a heap o' spaghetti. With butter. And salt.

Mfw he's gonna' look like Samwell Tarly soon if he keeps on eating like this.

Gotta' tell you man it can't be good for you to eat such amounts of butter and salt.

I've seen firsthand my friend Snowball gaining a belly roll from being here at uni for half a year and eating his spagbutter combo.
