This is just plain wrong. Buck is derived from old English. It means stag. If you speak an other Germanic language, you probably have a similar word in it. (Ie Norwegian has Bukk, which means stag as well.)

the reason somone uses the term buck for a dollar is because they once used deer skin for currency. They are not saying that they made the goddamn word.

The jist of what you just said
Buck =/= deer
buck = stag
stag = deer

Do you even read what you're tying or do you roll your face on the keyboard and post whatever happens to come out.

Using buck in the colloquial sense did originate in North America as buckskins were often used as a form of currency in bartering. Buck was not previously used as a word for paper currency prior to the 1800s.

Im sure that a dollar was worth a lot more then than it is now. Around 1850, the 1 dollar then was about 30 dollars not. This pretty cheap though

Buckskins were used as currency on the East coast before Michigan was a territory.
