LoL is a lot more beginner friendly than DotA, although the graphics in DotA might/are superior, I enjoy LoL a lot more ^^

Yeah, their UI is an overly complicated mess though. I tried one game and just said nevermind because I couldn't tell what any of the items did and their text was too small to read without leaning forward.

Both games have they pros and cons, LoL have a community full of 13 year old kids. Dota have russians who cant speak english in every single match... and it's rare they know what they do. but I prefer dota 2.

hmm i never got passed the bot stage of dota 2 . but even then i got my ass handed to me . it seems to be a lot laggy as well . lol just seemed more easier and they both feel like the same game

The skill cap in LoL is lower than in DotA 2, no secret there.
The reason you felt laggy, might be because you were on a the US server, if you're from EU, or the other way around. And in DotA 2, the hereos accually need to do a little animation when casting spells, depending who you play. and it also takes time to turn 180°. which is instant in LoL.

When you queue for a match, just decide on what server you'd like to find games.
But beware, the russians are everywhere

You know, there not all russian.
Most of them are from the Balkans e.g Serbia, Croatia .etc

its just there language sounds the same
