I dislike Marconi. He stole the idea for the Radio from Tesla and got all the glory. Nobody even found out until long after they were both dead.

Severepwner will never get a girlfriend ever. He's a useless, unlikable twat who doesn't even deserve to breath and waste air on this planet. There was a tear in the universe when Severepwner was born, because his existence is a cosmological mistake

Oh come on now, that attitude won't help.
I mean, I can't blame you for that kind of negative thought, because I've struggled with it before, but if you go around saying it you might wind up believing it.

In the future, it will be the future from your past self.
In fact, you started reading this maybe a few seconds ago, so your past self a few seconds ago had begun to read this for the first time so technically, you're reading the future

The Y2K one isn't really an incorrect prediction. Saying something is without precedent is not implying anything about the future. It simply is saying nothing like it has happened before. That may or may not be wrong, I don't know, but it doesn't make any assertions about the future.

My dad was quite a big businessman throughout the late 80s til about 1997, and he was invited to this seminar to show how the internet was going to work before it really launched.
He said that this one guy, would do some **** on a computer, then phone a number and say "i'm wanting to access www.funnyjunk.com (it wasn't really funnyjunk, but i forget)", then the page would take 15 minutes to load.

My dad came to the conclusion that "this new internet thing is a lot of ***** ", which was contradicted by his business partner Davie who told him he had read it was going to be "the next big thing". However, my dad was still not entirely convinced.

There should be no reason Darwin's evolution should threaten the religious. Evolution explains the species and the natural cycles that must be undergone in a shifting biosphere. It does not explain the inception of matter nor how nature could have the intelligence in the first place to allow natural selection to operate. Some may say that evolution cancels out any deity by Ockham's razor, but such a claim ignores any alternative hypothesis (such as a deity creates nature to be self-sustaining). Only extreme empiricists and fools claim evolution defaces God. To many Christians, it only highlights how God truly creates and works.

Darwin was saying that essentially in no way did his theories oppose religious beliefs. He was a christian when he made his theories, after all.

**katsikis rolled a random image posted in comment #3 at Wombats ** i feel like some of these quotes were said because those saying it were rivals of the topic being talked about, like the radio host saying tv is a fad, and the microsoft ceo saying the iphone will have no market share

"The wireless era will make war impossible."

Hah.. I don't know why that got me the most...
All it did was make war EASIER and far more complex.
