Until you realize the rusted doors would probably only hold up to about 20 pounds before breaking.

And then you realized if you invest a little money you can have the doors replaced with reinforced steel alloy that won't rust and can hold 1000 lbs no problem.

Once the doors are replaced it won't flood anymore. Though you raise a good point about being poor, I would still do it though, it would just take a lot longer to save the money for it.

Damn! That one's from before the cold war, actually. This one was built in the 40's or 50's at the beginning of the bomb scare, you can tell from the products inside. Made in the time leading up to the Cold War.
