Nothing like wanting to get your aggression out without anyone getting hurt or offended. Because every asshole "metal" kid has to try to pull off a "I'm dark and mysterious looking but with a heart of gold if you just crack through my iron maiden and slayer covered shell"

What the **** are you on about? We're not trying to pull off "I'm mysterious looking but with a heart of gold if you just crack through my iron maiden and slayer covered shell".

I'm a nice guy and I like metal. Those are two aspects of my life that really have nothing to do with each other.
I'm also a fan of DBZ and get upset at animal abuse. Those are two other completely unrelated points.

Someone's music taste has nothing to do with how they act as a person. Look how many spoilt brats listen to music like Hannah Montana, a girl who sings songs about being nice and friendly.

Music taste and social skills are almost entirely independent of each other.

Aside from how you feel like I can't have my opinion on the ****** metal kids I see and meet, If you take a look at my first comment I am specifically talking about how I feel about how these metal kids mosh; in a way that gets out aggression without being aggressive or offensive or actually violent.

Not at all, I know people who mosh who are never agressive, they just do it because thats what they want to do when they listen to the music, the music that people mosh to are ones with a heavy beat, which doesnt just apply to metal. Ive been to rap concerts and electonic concerts where people have moshed too, so dont generalise a universal thing down to one specific genre. Have you ever even been to a concert before?

You need to realize that being a nice person and being a yuppie are two different things...
Just because you're polite and kind to others doesn't make you a sheep following the herd, you're a posser man... it's like if you'd like romantic songs you'd be a cassanova and if you'd like gunge you'd be wasing your life day by day, there's plenty of good examples of metal stars that are much nicer people than pop stars.
I also like very different types of music, i mean i went to the UMF and Creamfields, but that doesn't mean i can't like metal, i don't have to show anything to no one... God i'd hate myself if i ever felt that way

BTW anonymoose I like you dude... I'm a big DBZ fan, i go to Anime partys and we mosh there! Sometimes the guy that dubs DBZ opening/ending in spansih comes and does a live performance, also chicks in cosplays *drools*

What?
First of all, moshing even tho it is something violent, is done knowing what you're getting yourself into.
And if someone falls, you don't stump on them because it makes you more of a man, you help them up, and mosh them back in the pitt if they are ok.
If you'd stomp them because you'd like to get stumped, then you're an emo faggot and should be cutting yourself not moshing.
Second, Do you even METAL? f
Have you listen to bands like... i don't know Black Sabbath? they have a lot of lyrics about feelings, they practicly started metal, there's a lot of feelings in metal songs, even hardcore bands like pantera have lyrics with a lot of feeling.
Third who doesn't moderate? it's music, not war, i don't want to get desfigured or not be able to walk because i wanted to say "hurr durr i'm the meanest mosher you'll ever see" when i go to metal clubs i only mosh with my friends because we mosh to hard for those kind of places (we do it almost as how it's done in a concert) becaue you have to respect others, RESPECT something an asshole like you wouldn't understand.

tl;dr: walk on home boy...

Implying pantera is hardcore...
Using black sabbath as an example when talking about metal...

-I never said anything about stomping... but if someone is getting stomped on its because they either get in the way or they deserve it.
-I don't understand what "we do it almost as how it's done in a concert" is supposed to mean.
-I don't have to show anyone respect who I do not feel has earned it.

Pantera's hardcore groovemetal.
Black sabbath is METAL, there is no better example.

You just proven my point with the stomping part.
Metal Clubs, you're probably to young to assist to one is like a dance club but with metal music.

-If you think pantera is hardcore you have a very sheltered outlook on music or are in grade 9-12 or both
-Black Sabbath is pretty much hard blues compared to new stuff (inb4 you assume i'm talking about ******** scenequeen metalcore) and really they are like using the sex pistols in a punk argument or the beatles in a rock argument. Its the Jim Belushi of examples
-What point on stomping, if someone is getting stomped they have given me a reason to stomp them or they are lying in front of me while I'm moving.
-Metal clubs sound ******* retarded
-Thanks for your ideas on respect, I do not agree or respect them.

black sabbath =/= sex pistols or the beatles.
Because even tho both made great changes, Sabbath started metal... "hard blues"? what the **** are you talking about, there would be no metal if it wasn't for sabbath.

Stomping anyone is stupid, whatever the reason, if you step on them by accident you help them up... What kind of an asshole are you?
Metal clubs sound like you can't wait to turn 18.
Meh... i don't think having or not having your respect would change me in any way...

In an argument about music Black sabbath is to metal what the sex pistols were to punk and the beatles were to rock. They were the generic band that got huge and popularized a sub culture. I get they were influential that doesn't mean that they are the be all end all of metal. They are pretty light compared to most of it.

Im the kind of asshole with little sympathy or ***** to give about other people. Im okay with that and I know you are not.

I go see real bands play music in bars. Going and listening to metal in a club sounds pretty dumb

Really they just are not that good, I genuinely find them boring.
Never said what you quoted and just because someone has been influenced by something it does not make them a copy of that thing
I don't have to like black sabbath to be a fan of metal

Pantera is not hardcore they are really like just a heavier rock n roll
There is such a thing as hardcore (an actual genre that sounds very little like pantera)

feel free to look it up

The ideas you are presenting me are great ideas for grade 9 students though, i opened my mind to those ideas around that age and am glad I found something outside of it soon after.

You don't have to like sabbath, i never said the rest were copies, just that they came to be thanks to them.
Maybe those songs are too slow for your taste.

Pantera is groove metal (it's a genre) but VOP (the album) is listed as "almost hard core" pantera is not "rock n roll" even in a heavier form, unless you mean pantera before Anselmo.

It really completes me when somebody thinks that they shouldn't listen to this music because it's "too mainstream" because i know this way that at least some douches wont be enjoying the same music as me for having such hippster ideas.

You inferred it by calling them their children, regadless yes i find there stuff really boring for the most part.

I have to disagree with pantera being close to hardcore or the fact that you think they are anything but a heavier rock n roll. But thats fine

I dont dislike them for being mainstream, I dislike them for being boring and weak. I meant what I said more in a way that they are a good place to start (like i did when i was around grade 8 or 9. I love tons of popular music though.

It really completes me when somebody assumes what I mean, because I know this way there is at least some douches will be basking in how great they are because of their self righteous ideals

Im a girl and I frequently go to concerts and join in mosh pits. Being a chick, im much smaller and much easier to knock down. when I do get knocked down, every time, some guy helps me up. I was once in a circle pit and someone on the side tripped me, the guy behind me fell over me and accedently elbowed me in a tumor i have (hurt like hell) and two guys behind us made a little wall to block to circle of running me, and another guy helped us up.

most moshpits, circlepits and walls of death are like this. a girl i know once got stuck in a mosh pit. Seeing how scared she was, a couple of guys picked her up and started a crowd surf to get her out. There's just unspoken rules in those things. you go in there to go wild, not to try and hurt someone.

I told it's not like anyone there is out to hurt anyone else, just to have a good time.

She went with me one time and saw this first hand and has loved metal shows ever since.
