I've said it before, but.
I dunno man, America is pretty boss. I don't understand people who hate this country. You have every right to leave, so why do you stay?

Sides. I'm grateful for the **** that this nation has done for the world. If it wasn't for America's intervention in the Balkans, I wouldn't doubt even for a second that my family and I would be dead.

While I'm ranting. What the **** is wrong with all these college kids begging for Communism?
It -really- isn't that great, it's not even that good of an idea. Have you ever had to pay the equivalent of 900 Dollars for non government issued pants? Crazy **** man.

Back to my point though. America is a great nation, no nation is the greatest, but America is definitely up their.

I mean ****, they've done more for the ******* Balkans than the EU has.

Pardon my Rant, FJ. I'm just an angry New Yorker.

Shut up. If you lived here you'd understand that they're just masking themselves for their own benefit. They make Croatians look like the good guys, and Serbs look like the bad guys, when in reality nobody gives a ****. I mean, we have giant loans that we took from the Americans, and they're just offering us bigger ones to pay off the ones that we have to pay off. We are and always be collateral damage just like any 3rd world country the US decides to **** over. And EU is just as bad. I know I am going to be filled with red thumbs to death, but anyone that shares my blood and is actually from here will understand.

I lived in Serbia.
I moved to America.

You sound like a ******* Chetnik. Milosevic was a ******* murderer. I watched the bombs fall. I know what the USA did to our country. I know full well what they did and why they did it.

**** the EU, they haven't done **** for us, they're too busy with their posh west european policies and psuedo democracy to give a **** about us.

Think before you speak you Chetnik Mountain man ****. There is no difference between us, and the ******* Croats. They have a different Religion. But there is no difference beyond that.

You want to hate them? Fine. You want to just wallow in Serbia's Ethnically Cleansed past? Fine.

But I will not sit here and let you make it seem like Milosevic did anything good, for our nation.

Al brate dodji vamo u Bosnu i pogledaj kakva je situacija oko nas. Zato nemoj praviti nikakve predrasude jer ne mrzim nikog zato sto je katolik, musliman il sta ja znam. Puca mi kurac za sve.

I for one, agree on this.

I think the problem can partialy be blamed on the location of the ideological history.
Americans might not know the true dangers of totalitarian ideologies like communsim and national socialism, like we Europeans do.
Because under our feets, lies the charred remains of these systems victims. Togheder with them, lies the bloodsoaked manifests and thoughs that justified thier deaths.
We Europeans are told early in our childhood, to never forget. Because in that way, history might not repeat itself that frequently.

TL;DR: Ignorance is bliss, but extremely irresponsible and dangerous.

Why is everyone's panties in a bunch over a lockdown? I may not be american, but if the government told us a criminal was at large and that we should stay in our homes to make everything faster and safer, wouldn't that be a beneficial public directive?

It wasn't even a "lockdown".
It was highly suggested they stay indoors, it's not like they were shooting people for being outside.

on every single one of these pictures that show the military in the streets post there is always that one dumb ass that says
"huehuehue where is your freedoms now merica lolol XDD"
and i would like to point out to these dumb asses that the military is not forcing anyone to stay in their houses and they don't kick down doors and start shooting people.. they are there FOR the public safety... they are monitoring any terrorist activity that might go down...

Well, when a known "terrorist" is in the area, I don't think anyone gets to refuse a search. Saying no is kind of an indication you are being held captive in your own house.

What if you have your usual Asian midget party going on at the time of the search?
Or have been smoking pot or other such drugs.
Do they get a warrant or play the "Hey I hear someone breaking in" legal ploy to do a search without a warrant?
Do they take the legal approach time costly approach or the unconstitutional approach of legal loopholes or even worse the method of a brute who kicks down the door.

The issue isn't just one lockdown, it's the progression of current affairs that people are getting upset over. If there is a tighter restriction on firearms, a lot of people will feel less secure, especially if there's just one more violent incident like this. It's worrying because if they are willing to shell out the time and resources to not only lockdown the city but take it as far as performing sweeps of citizen homes for just one crazy brainwashed college kid who built 2 crude ****** explosives out of crock pots, then they are certainly willing to shell out the same effort to increase police presence and expand their power on the streets in case of terror threats.
Yeah that'll be good at first, they're not Nazis after all, just regular guys genuinely trying to keep their city safe.
The problem is the children growing up surrounded by their watchful eyes and authority, they don't understand it like we do, we know they're only there because of the recent violence. But the children will grow up used to it, it's more of a normal part of life than a safety measure to them, and a lot of kids will grow up wanting to be that authority. When they do, they're already less concerned about safety than their predecessors (since the predecessors made the streets safer), and it's more about just keeping watch on the citizens in general. The children growing up surrounded by them, then develop an even more diluted view of the purpose of police.
That's when we see the problems everyone is worried about.
