Thank you! I've been telling people this for ages yet no one cared, guess it takes a pastor to get the message across properly.

Always makes me happy to see a religious person that actually knows how to follow their religion.

I realized that the reason I try to be funny is because I am depressed and I tried to ignore ....So I tried talking to a few girls to make my self feel better now no one will take me seriously......How are you doing funny junk?

Yes! This is what I've been saying all along! I'm glad there are other Christians out there who realize this too.

Faith for humanity restored. I wish there were more people like this guy, let alone pastors or priests.

Why is "love thy neighbor" suddenly the passage we take seriously? And they say morals come from God...

Well, he did write that part. Actually, the 10 Commandments were the only part of the Bible he wrote himself.

AS A PRACTICING CATHOLIC (please don't kill me, FJ), I have to ask why people think that rules against homosexuality are automatically hatred? I'm not telling or asking any of you to agree with Catholic teaching, but do parents make rules out of hate? Do laws/rules solely exist because of hatred? As for divorce and stoning wives, divorce is actually still not accepted by most Christians and all Catholics. It's still believed to be a grave sin, unless there's an anullment, in which case, the marriage never existed. Now, stoning... (please read the whole thing before you get mad) is actually not condemned. Except... Jesus said you could only stone if you were without sin. Every man is born with sin; therefore, no one may stone people. The idea is that many sins are worthy of death, but mercy is compatible with justice in this life. I'M SIMPLY POINTING OUT THE CATHOLIC BELIEF SYSTEM, I'm not telling you to agree.

Comparing parents making rules and laws don't really apply here. Things like murder being illegal and parents not letting their children drink before reaching maturity are made to prevent harms inherent from the action. Homosexuality doesn't cause any negative side effects and there is no legitimate interest involved in preventing it other than tradition. I understand you're trying to describe the reasoning of your faith but comparing anti-homosexual rules are comparable to parents making rules or important government interest is understating the importance of ones own right to feel safe and not persecuted for things that they cannot change about themselves.

If we didnt have religion we wouldnt have countless wars including the one in the middle east. We wouldnt have a ********* on every post that includes the word religion and we would be alot farther in science because everyone spent half of the time humans were alive worshiping a imaginary wizard in the sky who we have no proof of ever being real just a authorless book.

Typical you dont have any argument against the other facts just that athiests are ignorant shove theyre beliefs down peoples throats. Its not like they go door to door talking about it.

That last sentence still didn't seem wholehearted. Christians HAVE to support equality? So regardless of your actual feelings, you only accept gay marriage because God told you to? Talk about doing the right things for the wrong reason!
