When the first movie came out, we went to see it in theatres for my brother's birthday (I was 6 at the time)
I screamed when the cave troll popped it's head around the pillar in Balin's Tomb.

Everyone laughed at me.

I thought the army leaving Minas Morgul was one of the scariest. It was definitely the loudest. I remember watching Elf in the theater next door and you could hear it blasting through the walls.

i was like 11 when the first one hit theatres and that scene ******* got me, its purely a jump scare but damn is it a good one.
