I think the idea is that it says it's empty before it is, so you make the computer think it's a new cartridge.

I just bought a printer for which I knew I could reset cartriges.

Then, I bought a ******** of color. Like, a few liters of each.

So, now I can refill them manually, reset them, and don't have to buy new ones, or send them for re-filling...ever.

**** you printer companies.

I just used to put the old cartridge back into the printer and it used to work for weeks of
regular printing. Doesn't work on the new one we have though -.-

The ******* piece of **** remembers several different ink cartridges...mine does up to 3, but it's about 10 years old already. So I'd expect more memory nowadays.

if you have a laser printer, just take the cartridge out and shake it (carefully, the floor or you might well get covered in toner) and put it back in. the printer will now go on happily

Pretty sure that this doesn't work on any printer. You don't have to do anything to the cartridge, your printer may say that it's low but it will keep printing from it so it's just best to wait until the text starts losing color to change it.

That was a joke. You need an electronic tool to reset cartridges. Seriously, you fell for that?
