I have a shirt with those same lines on it, if any of you ever vacation to Florida make sure to check out Cape Kennedy, it's awesome!

That terrible notation hurts my eyes. How can you manage to use a subscript in the first line, then ignore its obvious need for the rest of the equations?

quite a few of those look to be simple equations once you know what the letters stand for. The mistake some people will make is think that it's one big equation

the answer is 3.14

in all of that, "SQRT" stands out the most

I'm not 100% certain, but:
first one:( mass*escape speed^2) = Gravitational potential energy. its a kinetic energy equation. dealing with velocity needed to escape the gravitational pull.
2-4(?)) all deal with gravity, radius, escape speed, and launch angle
5(?)) ???
6)Nm=velocity / light speed (chemistry equation)
7) light speed = root(k*R*Temperature) k and R are chemistry constants.
8?)force = work x escape speed + (P(earth) - P(applied)) x A(earth)
9(?)) momentum = mass x Velocity
last one: force = derivative of momentum

Most of this is from 1st/2nd level college level physics and chemistry classes.

huh... all these pre-req. engineering courses are finally paying off.

All I know is the first one is the gravitational constant equation, and the second to last one is momentum. weh i am uneducated

well i am not on this level, and im not sure i want to be, i mean i guess knowing any of this would be nice, mark of pride, but what does a average crazy person like me need any knowledge of rocket science?
