I'm from Mexico and I didn't give a **** on either one of those.

We are evil that way, we only care about people we know and love.

Have you ever thought about how pathetic it must look to a Pakistani for the U.S. to use drone strikes. I mean, not only are you going to use the most advanced weaponry in the world to combat (in comparison) sticks and stones, but you don't even have the honor to look me in the eye when you shoot me. Oh no, what we do instead is that we send a robot with a rocket in the middle of the night when their sleeping. No wonder they hate us so much.

I never hear anything about drone strikes at all.. Just shows how well news is brought about to the U.S.

Before I start I'm British. This post is kind of wrongfully insulting and insinuating about the American people, the American people didn't vote to send this drone over and kill children, the American government allowed this to happen. Just because a country's government carries out an action it does not make the people responsible, this is the fault of whoever allowed this strike to go ahead.

TL;DR **** off

I agree with this completely. I am American and I do not wish for over half of what my government decides to do. There isn't much I can do about it without getting thrown in jail or killed.

Hey, dude, it's ok. I'm American, and I'm apathetic to all loss of life. That's me, though, not my country. Don't put labels on entire countries full of compassionate, just people.

it's because it got more media coverage, and it got more media coverage because drone strikes look bad, but also because (not without reason) most people prioritize events in their own nation over other nations

Sad, but very true.

Every day almost HUNDREDS die in Syria...

...but that's not to say we should make ourselves miserable.

Wars go on, and people die, and we have to stand on the sides we think are right. To keep searching for the truth and know that all of human life is sacred, not just those of your country, or someone else's.

pic slightly related?

I hope that one day there will be no such thing as nations. I don't care ir a person share my birthland, no matter how far away he/she is, suffering is suffering.
The world lacks union.

It's hard to know these things when the front page of our media sources is about a celebrity's hair change or what Michele Obama wore to a dinner or something completely unimportant. Any good American would be outraged.

well no **** , when a war is going on in a country everyone knows that civilian casualties is to be expected. It's not normal for a guy to walk into a school and kill 20 ******* kids.

Speaking out against war: Traitor to the country.

Sending thousands of troops to be slaughtered while killing thousands of thousands of civilians: Patriotic, good, and glorious.

Learn your history and geography derps.

PS: Irony is not lost that we are killing civilians of the countries we are not at war with. Yet. We will blame them for those at the end and dumb masses will accept it without question.

It's a matter of war and perspective. But in the end it's all a tragedy.
User avatar #207 - Soilwork (03/11/2013) [+] (5 replies)
Sure we are apathetic, but it's hard to doing anything about something we have no control over. We can prevent school shootings but bombings on other countries is the president's call.
User avatar #211 to #208 - Soilwork (03/11/2013) [-]
If he gives himself the right to kill you in your house, what chance do we have to stop him from bombing other countries.
