The problem is Politics is showbizz for Ugly Boring people who cant get that kind of attention on their personality , own skills or abilities.

and because politics is so boring you have the cretins of society (Generally, always gonna be some who arent) as the ones who end up going into it.

At school the people who were into politics were the weird ugly boring kids who were all friends with each other because they all had being weird ugly boring and disliked by everyone else in common with each other.

And because you have the people at school who never had a proper life trying to tell others how to life theirs it just doesnt work. They also have been craving all this power and attension all their lifes because they dont have personalities or any skills as soon as they get this power and recognition it just goes straight to their head .

you just have the wrong kind of people getting into the politics in general

its who you know Kez. The days of starting local and working your way up by good deeds for your constituents is over. It doesn't matter who you vote for. Its like putting multiple colors of PEEPS. When its all said and done...its all the same

What do you mean "today"? It has been like this forever. I have been claiming for a long time that there hasn't been a single revolution in the history of mankind that has actually been successful. Yes, the revolution "succeeded" in causing a change, but the people who started the revolution never got what they had actually wanted.

This is the reason you need to live for yourself.
Make yourself happy, if it makes you happy to improve your government then do it. Try, live life with no regrets.
If it makes you happy to be a farmer, be a farmer, do whatever makes you happy.
We only have one life to live, so live it.

Also overthrown government tends to take a couple leaders to become corrupt again. There are exceptions of course, but it still stands as a general rule throughout history.

Realists: History is the same damn thing over and over and always will be.
