i dont remember where in the bible but there is a story that goes as such:

There's a boy. He has a sister, two brothers and a dad (the mother was killed because she gave the dad a daughter). The boy falls in love with his sister, so he has his two brothers AND HIS OWN FATHER help him as he RAPES his own sister. Then after the sister gets pregnant the boy has his sister killed because he suspects her of sleeping around on.

End of story

**djgeeza rolled a random image posted in comment #315576 at Pokemon ** Must check bible app.........................

I keep the bible app juts in case people start trying to quote bible verses in an argument so I can see them in context and then prove them wrong, It works, trust me, I argue with a lot of Christians.

“I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.” (1 Timothy 2:12) Pretty self explanatory. Women shut up

“This is what the Lord Almighty says... ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:3) KILL EVERyTHING

“Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.” (1 Peter 2:18) SLAVERY IS AWESOME

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:22)

I know that the bible is supposed to be not taken directly but this is pretty hard to talk yourself out of

Anon's right, don't know why he's being thumbed down.

Women were uneducated back then, so therefore they shouldn't have spoken. Simple as that

Amalek was ****** , they were warlike and insane. Morally grey, but I can see why that's okay

Slaves were servents, other verses tell you to let them go after a certain period of time

As for Ephiesians, read the rest of the verse buddy.

Deuteronomy 32:35 "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord, I will repay. In due time their foot will slip. The day of disaster is near, and their doom rushes upon them."

Hezekiel 23:20

"For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses."

Keep in mind, that people in the time this was written for were disgusted rather than aroused by these verses. It's only now that our perverted society sees them as erotic

I don't know what all the fighting is about. I was raised in a Catholic household, but I put more of my trust in science. And rather than be uptight about it and deny faith, I believe in live and let live, tolerance, and love for thy fellow man. You know, things Christ would say.
What I don't do is take the Bible at face value and use it as an excuse to impose my way of thinking on others who may or do have different views because they are "immoral" according to "my" views.
The Bible says homosexuality is immoral, I would gladly hug a gay man and let him marry.
The Bible says we should not eat certain creatures, but they are so tasty and some have health benefits.
The Bible says we should not commit incest, ******* DUH...
But the Bible also tells the tales of a man who preached love, charity, tolerance, and respect.
If you are a person of faith, I will pray with you. And likewise I will further the realm of science with a fellow researcher. Live and let live.
PS yes I am a G.Carlin fan

Atheists have no basis for their morality. Therefore, you derive your basis for morality from your worldly environments, whether that be your parents, friends, idols, etc. Those individuals are inherently imperfect, as all humans are inherently immoral sinners. Thus, obtaining your morality through your environment leaves you as a flawed, immoral person, as opposed to an individual who obtains their basis for morality through God.
