You play as a soldier/ assassin in the 1940's, sent to Germany as you blend in with society and take the Nazis down from the inside.

Let's make this happen.

I have thought of this many times before and have always wondered how it would turn out. But I am more interested in an Assassins Creed Game set during the Civil war. Imagine that, with Lincoln and everything. Also.. John Wilkes Booth is a templar.

It would never happen, unfortunately, Ubisoft want to avoid cliched settings in their games, specifically WWII or 'Nam, because those time frames are literally too overused.

Which is good, I think. VG's need some originality with their backgrounds...

few comments down we already wrote the plot pretty much... you will be playing as an nazi assassin who is working WITH Hitler... you have been brainwashed by Hitler thinking you are doing this for good while all Hitler wants is the apple of eden and he just needs you to find it for him... but after you find the apple you hear the voices of your ancestors (altair, ezio, ect..) and you realize you are not good and you assassinate Hitler and hide the apple

I'm really not too excited for Assassin's Creed IV. I just wanted a nice conclusion to the story, but the Assassin's Creed III did not supply me with that. Not much changed in th aspect of mechanics from game to game. Don't get me wrong, through all this hate, it is still one of my all time favorite game series. I just feel that Ubisoft may milk this cash cow dry. You may thumb me down if you like, I just want to know if anyway feels the same as me.

i agree, 3 was a disappointment, but I'm hopeful for IV. see ubisoft lied in the trailer for ac3: we couldn't charge a file of soldiers and turn the tide of battle. however, in the AC4, everything thats going on, WE'VE ALREADY DONE. I mean this as in all of the mechanics for the naval battles, which were the best thing about ac3. so it seems like ac4 will be what ac3 should have been. idk what do you think?

How can you not be excited? Firstly in terms of gameplay it's going to be more stealh based and have minimal loading screens with a much bigger world. The way the naval battles sound genuinely makes me a little wet.
Secondly i can understand your frustration with the story but this ones protagonist sounds like a pretty good one and since you'll be working with Abstergo chances are you'll be making a lot more choices towards what happens in the war. I dunno to me i think the game in a view of a gamer is amazing but also in the way it's telling its story

That's the literal translation, though it would be "Grammar makes you free." This is basically off of "Arbeit Macht Frei" or "Work will set you free". The words above the entrance to the death camps.

My only problem with the whole idea of it being in World War II is that the new Assassin would be using guns, like sniper rifles and automatic weapons. Soon you would have people who would prefer to just use a sniper rifle over the hidden blade. And what kind of weapon would the new Assassin use for close combat? I mean, swords wouldn't be used any more. It sounds like a kinda cool idea, but I don't know if it would be as good as the others.

also they probably wouldn't be nazi's...the assassins that is...however they could make a game and incorperate the unit that Inglorious Bastards was based on because they were a behind enemy lines stealth type of unit that took out quite a few nazi's. and if it was based on that unit, there would still be some guns but probably a lack of snipers...I think...I have to do more research but it is generalized here

perhaps, the designers would make the difficulty much harder, so you'd HAVE to focus on stealth, and since unsilenced guns are pretty un-stealthy, you'd more often than not, try to steer away from them.

I was thinking they would kinda make guns like a last resort thing, because like what you said about stealth. They would probably throw in a sniping mission or two to make people happier, but wouldn't make the sniper rifle a usual weapon. If anything they would probably just give the new Assassin a handgun or something.

a sniper mission every now and then would be good, and with harder difficulties, you would only have one shot before you're noticed.

On the ww2 ideas, I was thinking, how about a jewish assassin who's life is torn apart by the nazi invasion of poland?...you end up in a ghetto, find your way out, and travel into germany trying to end that cunt hitler?
