that post gave me cancer

I mean architecturally wise, it's true. The greatest structures man has built until recent times have been related to worship/religious roles, or at least assumed to be so by archeologists. But anyways, point is this post is kind of dumb.

And you can confirm that religion did not influence anyone's work on science, much like how science made the intricate design of the religious building possible? I may be a non-believer, but some of you guys can be edgy as **** .

Science was used to build both structures... The difference is that the religious structure is built for religion, and the satelite is built for science.
Science comes from the latin word for knowledge, thus, science is used to build both

Now, please stop trying to piss of each other, yes, that goes for religious people as well, you're no better

Sorry for generalizing, this criticism is only directed towards the ones who deserve it

There is thousands of things that science created, millions in fact. Yet all religion does is just cause wars. ******* christian assholes

Religion didn't cause those wars, people did. Even as an atheist it's hard to deny that religion was used as the justification for some truly awful things, but the underlying reasons behind those things weren't rooted in religion nearly as much as they were in people seeking more power.

Tubes. Thats all the ISS is. Why not make something as cool as the base in Star Trek? Because there is still the problem of priorities of funding.

If the Star Trek starbase were created, i would be training for NASA as soon as possible.

Religion has also made some of the greatest contributions to science, including the scientific method and the entirety of Astronomy

Except for the whole, killing everyone who argued against the earth being the center of the universe. And there being any doubt of the location of abrahamian heaven. And - you know what, it's just plain not true. Religion as a whole has a tenancy to argue against something that goes against it's beliefs until it's backed into a corner by the majority of society and forced to change.

The fact that the people who discovered the idea were religious is irrelevant considering the rest of their religion despised and denied the idea.

I actually quite like religious buildings, not gonna lie. But yeah, science wins this one.

I don't think they put that building together with bibles and faith.

Well, there's a difference between architecture and engineering.
