well, that building has been around for about 400 years and is still being used. whereas the ISS will be considered obsolete and be replaced at some point in the next 400 years.

I still think the St. Peter's Basilica is prettier than the ISS.

Did anyone make that ******* accusation in the first place?
#180 - padorak (03/04/2013) [+] (1 reply)
Well here's an analogy for you.
Would you prefer your indestructible cartridge for the N64 or a copy of CoD on a disk that breaks easily and scratches.
Also these things were built a long time ago and are considered major advancements of their time and are still standing today.
Besides these things are more for an artistic purpose not a technological purpose.
#96 - notcummingham (03/04/2013) [-]
Well, in terms of architecture yeah.
User avatar #93 - jibbernut (03/04/2013) [-]
As far as science goes it makes the most magnificent ideas, discoveries, and functioning buildings. But you have to give credit when credit is due many amazing structures and works of art came about through religion.

thumb me down, but if lived in a cave for 20+ years and then experienced the world for the first time, i'd be more impressed with the architecture of the Vatican than with the satellite
