been unomployed for a year now. on social security. got education. just finished studying german and french, because that opens the market for international jobs (i live in europe). cant get a job because i ****** up 5 months ago. was hungry. about to be homeless. and had no money. and i couldnt take it anymore, so i went to a supermarket to steal some food. got caught. regret it every day, but not because its immoral to steal, but because i got caught.

its human to eat, noone should be denied the right to eat.

Yeah but whats worse, having no job or income and being depressed bored unsuccessful ect or having a factory job dealing with the monotonous sluggish days of doing the same thing over and over to the point that job becomes effortless, shallow and pedantic to the point that everyday plays out the same. Having no time for yourself, forming no skills or hobbies. Either is a terrible fate, however i think it might be necessary to complete a deadend job fro an "X" allotted time. Pro tip-get a job no matter the **** level, save up as much money as you can, dont buy stupid stuff, if you can get a skill, wish i would of taken welding to be honest. This is mainly for recent grads that are having trouble getting a job/ education

You know, people say that you need experience to get a job and a job to get experience, so the cycle just repeats. But what about volunteering? Do you need experience for that? It should be easier to get into and you'd get experience.

Where I live you get money if you're unemployed, it's a calculated minimum allowance for someone to live. You get this money whilst working in shops and places like that for experience. You don't get paid extra however, but you still get your money each week.

im sorry but if you're having trouble getting a job, then obviously your standards must be too high for retail or fast food.

umm, yes actually. fast food jobs are **** .
#12 to #10 - protofusion (02/26/2013) [-]
Or maybe your only employer fired you for witnessing another employee break the rules (and not fire the employee who broke the rules) because he didn't like the fact that you told him that his favorite manager was staying until three in the morning because she couldn't finish her duties in a timely manner causing employees to stay later than necessary on the clock. which in turn led to everywhere to rejecting your application due to you being fired from your only job despite the fact that the department of labor ruled that you were unjustly fired.

tl;dr ****** up **** happens to people sometimes and can prevent you from being hired even at fast food places when the job market is flooded with of people who haven't been fired.

I've been out of school for a year. **** sucks. I can't find a job because people who lost their jobs are going for the same jobs that I'm going for, and they have more experience than I do, so of course they get the job over me. God I hate living in this century...

I'm sitting at over a year out of work.

After about six months, you simply resign yourself to a life of nothing but the internet.
