So. I don't know. Don't do it in school. math.stackexchange has awesome posts on this. "How to Prove It" by Velleman is good, & requires very little prerequisite knowledge.

it requires explosives to join the parts of the uranium or plutonium, but everything past there is physics, chemistry does not deal with sub atomic particles, decay, or anything radioactive in the sense that physics does.
