Living in alabama I can actually tell you everyone is like that. Some people are quiet about religion, but WAY more people try to shove religion down absolutely everyone's throat. Everywhere else I've been in my life all the religious people I know are great and everybody gets along with each other. If I told anybody here I was atheist I may actually have people hate me for the rest of my life.

A lot of religious people are really great to be around, hell even the pope is probably more tolerant than most southern christians. The amount of hypocrites here that believe absolutely everything the bible says and have no reason is ridiculous. People that talk about the "war on christmas" and hate every other religion because its not theirs.

Not to say that most atheists are complete asses as well. The problem is most atheists assume that all christians are like this, when in reality the people around me are the minority. I'm happy to not give a care about what anybody else believes in but no religious people at my university seem to have the same idea. The internet and my life are pretty much polar opposites.

Exaclty, your beliefs dont make you a dick, the way you carry yourself out is what ruins you. We shouldnt care at all and just be happy together because theres intolerable people in every race and religion.

I bet these arguments are pointed more towards the christians that shun people with other or no believes.
If you as a person behave like you describe then you shouldn't take offence by this.

You are right, I usually dont get mad but I do leave a comment. Idk why this time it sounded so angry but it is just intolerable to deal with this so much more often than Id like to. Theres people that I know exactly like this, maybe I was just venting haha

Christian texts refer Jesus as God in mortal coil, and for the names just search up, The Names of God in a Bible there's a whole list of them in what I believe your trying to reference.

Yeah, Allah/Yahweh/Jehovaw/God are, from an outside view, all the same guy. But in their own individual religions they are separate deities.

And Jesus was the son of a God father and a human mother, making him a demi-god, e.g. the same thing Hercules was. Only less cool
