well... I fail to see what's so bad about it. If I were him I would still agree that yeah, it's a good idea to try to get on the good side of demographics that are in danger of lacking support. This is something that literally every other president has done.
I personally think it's a little ignorant to say he's a bad person in particular for doing that.

what could he legitimately lie about that would make any impact besides votes? a white lie about him shooting a gun (which is quite possibly true, and he could just suck ass at it) is not going to make an impact on the important issues of the nation.
If any president tries to lie about things that affect the nation, they get kicked the fuck out, like Nixon did. Or almost did.

My point is I don't think it means we're in danger of getting hurt economically or in any other way just because he said he has a hobby.

It doesn't impact the nation but the fact that the highest ranking public official would lie about a issue to gain political ground is unsettling.

Well if you haven't noticed Bush's political public appeals, or Clinton's, or the first Bush's... I'd say get used to it because I doubt it'll stop any time soon. Every president does this. It's nothing to be worried about.

I really don't think that this little lie has any relevance with that stuff. and yeah all of that was some bullshit, I agree, but that's a different story, that's just a president approving of things the public does not approve of, that's not about him outright lying to anyone.
