The animal shown is a loris, and in many countries it's illegal to have due to the fact it's poisonous and endangered. Many "domestic" loris's are obtained through the illegal animal trade, and are given inhumane procedures to make them "safe" for human interaction. I'm not saying this loris is an illegally obtained one, but I would like to spread the awareness of the illegal animal trade, where many different types of animals are abused, treated inhumanely, and killed.

Buying these little guys is illegal. It's because 1) they're endangered, 2) their bites can be highly toxic, 3) poachers cut their front teeth off so they can't bite you, and 4) over half of them die in illicit transport. Don't buy these guys, leave them in their own habitat.

That type of lemur called the slow loris is poisonous. It has poison glands on its armpits and when it feels threatened, it rubs its mouth on the poison and tries to bite its victim. Just a fun fact

Which is why anyone who wants it as a domestic pet has its teeth brutally ripped out.

Many breeds of dogs have their tails docked along with their ears. Cats have their claws removed. Cows and horses are castrated frequently. These actions happen much more frequently and are completely legal - why care about this creature more?

well the fact that the Slow Loris is a species currently on the major decline due to their value as exotic pets and heavy deforestation and i mean come on, yes those things you mentioned for the other animals are painful for the animals but losing them doesn't significantly effect their life

I do too :( They have that new show of the two brothers, and they go animated whenever they're talking about the animal, its a complete rip off from Zaboomafoo. At least with Zaboomafoo they legitly went out and observed these animals. (Either that, or it was a premade habitat. Either way, it was cool as ****.)

It was a premade habitat and they trained Zaboombafoo. (when I was little I couldnt pronounce it so I called him Zoombafoo) I've seen the rip off and its **** compared to the real thing. We must RIOT!
