I've only had Sleep paralysis once, and it happened after one hell of a strange dream:

I was inside the head of Hastur (Cthulhu Mythos) fighting Shoggoth-Illithid hybrids (just use google if you don't know what those are). I was tearing them apart with my bare hands, ripping out their throats with my teeth, decapitating them and eating their heads like apples while they run around in circles without a head, ripping off their face-tentacles and tying them together to make a whip that I then proceeded to light on fire and do SM-play on Hastur's subconscious' avatar... all while still fighting the Shoggoth Illithids. I then took the corpses of the sacrifices offered to Hastur in order to summon him, transformed them into a pinkish orange living Necromonic arrow, and fired it at a little girl (why the **** was she there?) who then polymorphed into an unborn (undead, and made of living metal) wolf. I then mounted her and ate the sun in one gulp. I then awoke(?) from my dream to find myself in an Alice in Wonderland-styled version of my old home in Kelowna. My old cat then leaped off the bed when I 'woke up' and transformed into a Jaguar with 1-1.5 meter-long legs and an arched back. It walked through the door into the livingroom then stared at me with pure-white shining eyes and proceeded to walk out the back door while the walls deteriorated behind it in shining black sparks. As I got out of bed floating text for a "mission" appeared in my sight like a videogame, telling me to "Shut all the levers". I walked out and closed the piano (We never had a piano), to which a progress-bar showed up and filled half-way.

>be sleeping
>dream about being surrounded by hostiles
>fight them back with rage
>knock the last of them out with a glorious backfist
>opened eyes, there's a blood on my hand
>I broke part of my wardrobe while sleeping with one strike and it's made of ******* oak
> MFW I wouldn't even dream of doing it while awake

What happens during sleep is very interesting.

i get sleep paralysis sometime, but no freaky **** , i just cant move. No sounds, no shadow people, just cant move. I usually just hold my breath to shock my body out of paralysis.

Btw the loud thumping sound you sometimes hear when having sleep paralysis is actually blood rushing in your inner ear, amplified by your subconscious.

probably a succubus. anyways sleep paralysis can be invoked on you usually to get you really scared so you can be drained of your energy. mostly happens if you sleep on your back because succubus are attracted to that

I have tried to trick Myself into sleep paralysis. I get close. But When I'm almost there, My body feels like it begins to fall and I jumped. If I can keep from jumping I should be able to reach that state. It also had something to do with controlling Your dreams then astral projection.

sleep paralysis actually is not triggered when you fall asleep. It happens from waking up during the REM stage of sleep and entering a stage called REM atonia. The body has the state to keep us from sleep walking but sometimes it works to well and continues after we are awake. I would not recommend it because it is the only time i have ever felt a true fear for my life.

sometimes I "wake up" on my stomach and my head is being pushed in the pillow like someone tries to suffocate me, but it never works and after some time it usually wears off. Freaked me out big time when it first happened...

My sleep schedule is the most unorganized thing ever so I get Sleep Paralysis occasionally. After a while it's not scary, more annoying if anything. Before, it was "Oh **** , why can't I move! Oh **** , why do I hear voices, Oh **** , why is someone in my room!" Now it's "Ugh **** ...." then I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

**leuser rolled a random image posted in comment #414 at The Greatest Gift ** When that happens to me, I try to breath really hard and that seems to work every time... for me at least.
