Would love to see some teenage chick out there holding a sign, "Shame on me for being a mother."
Point. And. Laugh.
Point. And. Laugh.
"This is what every parent should do if their child breaks some sort of rule", fuck that, kids are going to break rules it's a part of growing up, the way to deal with that is to talk to them and tell them why the rule is in place, so they know why they shouldn't break it. Whether the rule is for the child's well being or others peoples well being or both, you don't shame them for what they did with a sign on the side of the road. Every kid does this, every kid breaks the rules (some more than others) it's unfair to do something that will potentially effect him his whole life because of a stupid mistake he made purely out of curiosity. Now what you might say is "Well that covers the description, but that kid in the photo was a bully he deserves it.", WRONG no kid whether they're are a bully or not deserves something like this. Things like this are what make the kid aggressive and make him want to be a bully. Like I said before the best way to deal with a son who is a bully is to sit down and talk with them, this method of punishment is for parents who are too scared to actually talk with their kids. The fact that this is on front page and that people think that this woman is a hero or a savior is fucking shameful.
If you give a child an explanation on why a rule is there, it will work, for example:
There is a rule at the Zoo: "do not go near the Lion cage" the kid goes near the Lion cage anyways. Tell him that the rule is there because the Lion could hurt you, now the kid knows why the rule is there and wont go near it for his own safety. In the future when he hears a rule he will think about why it might be there and will obey it.

You're right, the best thing to do is to tell the kid why the rule is in place, so they know the benefit of it, and maybe in the future they will find what the benefit in other rules are, instead of saying "YOU MUST OBEY ALL RULES BECAUSE THEY ARE RULES!", that only makes they child more curious.
What if you find a kid holding up an "I refused to believe in God." sign?

This "parent" deserves to brutally mutilated and burned to a crisp..that's what I would do to do my mom, and all poor children who suffer from abusive mothers as well. I'll save all the kids that have parents who don't do what parents should do, let their kid be happy-let them live the way they choose, not follow in their parent's footsteps, so to all parents out there who force everything on children, yeah I'm going to kill you. :)

Not at all. I actually have no real emotions for any one I meet in life, if somebody like say..my mother or father died, I wouldn't feel a thing. If I killed them, I still wouldn't feel a thing. People have no effect on my emotions and never will. I'm just a heartless person and that's how I like living, so nobody should try and interfere with it.

sad thing about this is that bullies usually bully because of insecurites. a lot are abused or shown that violence or shame is ok at home. so the mom is probably the reason the kid is a bully.
people forget kids grow up in society so if you have a problem with kids look to the generation who trained them

I think Casey Anthony has beaten this woman out for the worst parent award by far...
