He painted hand grenades like easter eggs and nailed the pins to the sidewalk. When kids pick them up, they explode and kill them. After so long, all the dumb kids die off because the smart ones know not to pick up crap off the street or learn from seeing other kids die, leaving only the smart kids.

Reminds me of a film called God Bless America. It's actually a really good film. GIF is from the film.
Did see he was painting Grenades the first time I read through it, wondering why he was nailing eggs to the floor.... HurrDurr!
Anyways, This remind me off God Bless America, anyone seen that film?

A genuinely intelligent person would be able to see that they're just grenades painted like Easter eggs due to the texture and pin. They would also likely figure out that they aren't safe to pick up after hearing/seeing them go off when other people pick them up.
That depends on where you're from.
I lived in the U.S for a year as an exchange student, and I noticed that the news over there focused on the bad news. When I got home I was really happy to watch and read news about something else than how many people were killed this week.

I'd like it more if the news paid more attention to the civilians instead of the bad guys in many cases.
I really hate it when someone murders a guy and the murderer is the one who gets all the attention, especially if they want that attention. I definitely know there were cases when the murderer stopped and posed in front of security cameras and those poses were later put up all over the news.
I would much prefer it if the media doesn't grant these people the attention they so clearly crave and instead focus on the tragedy itself and remark how the town is banding together to helping each other through it.

Actually I do live in Washington. I live in Vancouver, Washington, which is right next to Portland. If I say I'm from Washington, everyone thinks Seattle, but if I say Oregon, everyone thinks Portland, which is closer. I claim either state depending on circumstance.
