Horrible. My friend went to sleep when we saw it. I asked after how the movie was and he said "When I went to sleep, **** was blowing up. When I woke up, **** was still blowing up." Tells a lot about the movie

The acting was horrible, but it was visually stunning and I liked the aliens.

Lewis Caroll did this in Through the Looking Glass
User avatar #20 - pfccross (01/26/2013) [-]
they did that to a very minor extent in Sherlock Holmes game of shadows. They had a chess game and referred to some other characters as the pieces in the game they were playing.

ok...cool idea and all but how would they make certain people in the game different from each other? like what would be the difference between a pawn, knight, bishop, rook, king and queen?
#13 to #11 - putridgrim (01/26/2013) [-]
The Bishop would be a registered sex offender.

now, apply this theory to all board games, some might work well. it was attempted with CLUE and although I enjoyed it, it wasn't a good movie.
User avatar #16 to #10 - gelind (01/26/2013) [-]
******** . clue is an amazing movie, although had very little in common with how the game is played.

It's been done. A danish book was written involving God and the Devil playing chess against each other. The main character is a pawn.
I don't think there exists an english translation.
