I stopped watching after the first season with Matt Smith.
I don't know why, maybe because I sort of grew up with Christopher (albeit briefly) and David as the doctors, like my father grew up with Tom Baker and...well, every other doctor. When the Doctor and the writer changed, I don't know. I feel like the Doctor died long ago.

I tried to love it, i really did. But i only liked few of the episodes, and the one i loved the most was only because it had a flying shark in it..
don't really think it would be like that, the only reason i am a doctor who fan is because i started watching it being aired when chrisopher elcston (spellfail) started as the doctor all the way up untill the end of the david tennant era. i experienced it as a show and how awesome it was at the time but if i just went on and streamed a couple episodes right now it wouldn't be the same.

I tried to give the show a shot. Wasn't really anything special. To each their own I guess.

Why is it not OK to just watch a show and not be taken in by the fanbase anymore?
Sure, you enjoyed the show, good for you. Now go talk about it to others who enjoyed it, but don't act as though you're part of some exclusive club. I guarantee 90% of the people who watch Doctor Who are those who live in the UK anyway, ever since it began running again with Chris Eccleston. Do you see them fan-boning each other after every episode? No.
Because the majority of them have dignity, and aren't just jumping on some American-bullshit-bandwagon.

Not trying to pick a fight here, but you are on the internet. Where I live, VERY FEW people like Doctor Who. I haven't met one other person where I live that I know that likes Doctor Who or probably has even heard of the show. I go to the Internet to find my fellow friends, and the only way I can find them is when they post things like this, like a big neon sign that says,"DW FAN HERE! COME TALK TO ME!"
I don't go always obsessing about it but I am saying it's how DW fans find each other, especially ones who are as isolated as I am.
Before you say,"GO FIND SOME FRIENDS" I tried...everyone around here likes football and hunting.

most of us from britain watch it but don't use quotes every second or bum each other about it. but i'm pretty sure the majority of the fan club is british because some of the britfags use DW reaction pics almost every comment they post and use him as an excuse to argue against americans who insult us.
well...
I always obsess about things I like. I had a harry potter obsession, was discworld- obsessed for a while, and the list goes on and on. (most obsessions stay in a milder form.) until now, I always managed to keep my obsessions to myself. what is different about doctor who, is that some of my friends like it too. so now it is getting hard to keep it inside my head.
and I am sure I am not the only one.

alright, I'm thinking maybe I should watch this. Where should I begin?
I hate people who use "welp" even more than I hate people who use "owp".
I love Doctor who but i cant stand most of the community, The bad ones started to appear after David left, Im not saying i dislike Matt I think he is great but geez he brought in some annoying fans
as brony I can relate...
really didn't think it would happen to me but it did.
don't hate because mlp.
I'm simply expressing my relation just using a different show.

actaully I've only seen every episode once, as much as I like the show I cant seem to wanna re watch it, hell even when everyone starts singing, I mute the vid and play minecraft till they're done, but still every now and again I find my mind drifting off onto the topic in question
My sister has a tardis mug. She says it's really hard to drink out of.
I'm not rage.
In fact, I'm kinda jelly.
To have all of Doctor Who to look forward to. To have dozens of series of episodes to look forward to. To be able to experience the joy of all the Doctor's adventures for the first time again?
It would be pure bliss.
And maybe you'll know what I'm on about after you get round to watching it for yourself.
