Why would whoever changed it put 'required' in front of gaming skill...?
That doesn't even make sense

You left out EVE Online. It's difficult, but the game's mechanics become clear in time. Five years and three boxing like a champ.

Spreadsheet online is not that hard, and it is boring.

I have played chess games more intense than any -10 blobwarfare in nullsec or any small scale pvp roaming.

It is only ever fun if you install a 3rd party software and actually talk with other people.

Ill stick with my guildwars2 for my mmo needs thank you.

Reminds me of how I was playing it yesterday and 5 dwarves died because of a piece of cloth. I think there was a Murphy law about this. If you're prepared for every possible way that things can go wrong, then a new way will pop up that you can't prevent.

What the hell. Apparently, if you play DF, you will at one point actually experience some sort of temporal shift and travel to the past. In addition, the game has the ability to exist in two or even three different difficulty states (y-axis) in the same x-coordinate, in other words, at the same time.

Conclusion: Dwarf Fortress is some quantum ****, yo.

It's true... I swear to god from my initial picking up the game to my now many years of experience with it... It's true. I almost want to say the starting point should possibly be even higher though. :/

Probably because Asians don't play Halo as much as Starcraft.

Why does that make there be more required skill for HALO than for Starcraft? That's where you lost me
#85 to #68 - masdercheef

(01/26/2013) [-]
Because, early on in Starcraft you'll probably be either playing against the computer, or friends of yours- and friends might go easy on you. Later, though, people are likely to be much more serious about it, and you'll be playing against those guys who can crush you in ten seconds flat (like Asian competition players.) For Halo, you usually get put into matches by rank, and by the time you make it to a high rank you can usually fight well enough against others.

dota 2 isnt that hard, you just need to have a brain with which to use the right characters (i dont remember a blind pick option so counter picking is always a thing). item builds usually consist of about 15-20 different items on both teams HoT, BKB, Daedalus, Mekhasim (orhowever you spell it) are staples of items in dota and almost every team will have 2/3 maybe more of each item if they're doing well. sure there's a lot more mechanics to learn in dota 2 but those are simplified by altering key bindings and playing a few matches to learn it, not saying LoL is harder or as hard as dota2 but its still not as bad as people make it out to be, plus once you get higher up the player base becomes much more tolerable in LoL than in dota in my experience just sayin

In a high level game, or a med level game, only one or two players should have the opportunity to farm any of those high end items that you list, HOT, BKB, Daedalus.

To "do well" in the game, tends to mean that the game is finished, or at the very least the victor is clear, before the 25 minute marker.

You don't seem to know DOTA very well. (Granted, I hardly know LoL.)
