This must be against the post that made the frontpage that made everyone on this site turn the Christianity or it said something bad about them.

"Religion is like a penis, it's fine that you have one. As long as you don't shove it down my throat."
And yet. All religion based stuff I've seen over the past 6 months have basically been nothing but bullying religion.
User avatar #162 to #18 - kolsinder (01/26/2013) [-]
>implying that you can actually "bully" religion
>implying religion hasn't bullied anyone else

Last time I posted this, I got bombarded with red thumbs, so here goes nothing:

The quote you posted refers to the real world, where in some communities, religion does get instilled into people. For instance, when I was around 9 years along, my Grandma basically manipulated my childlike innocence and attempted to make me extremely religious. Moreover, the beauty of the Internet is that it permits you to skip anything you dislike; You don't like anti-religion posts? Then ignore them!

The misconception here is that atheists criticising religion do so extensively in real life. This is impossible because if the given atheist has friends, then he won't act like a social idiot and persistently attack religion. On the other hand, if he doesn't, then he has no one to preach to, right? Hence why there are so many anti-religion posts on the Internet as opposed to real life.

My final point is that it is unfair to merely blame atheist posts. What about posts poking fun at black people and untreatable diseases? It's been pretty much established that everyone laughs at these issues on the Internet, yet I don't see anyone complaining about how they've been "bullied".

Except their are always a certain amount of people who take offense to any of those joke subjects. This one is kinda just stupid. Here's the deal: Let ******* christians worship what they want as long as they don't bother you, and then you have no right to bash on any religion. I just think it's funny to watch people fight over religion... whether your atheist of faithful, you just don't get the messege if you keep fighting with others about it.

I respect peoples religion and understand it is very important to them but that still doesn't stop me from enjoying religious jokes which are funny.

I just find it very curious as to why people on this website and in other walks of life are hyper-sensitive when it comes to the subject of religion yet at the same time find discriminative jokes or jokes involving mass-genocide acceptable? This question isn't rhetorical, I'd actually like to know the answer. anyone?
#91 to #55 - anonymous (01/26/2013) [-]
All of the above jokes are all in good fun.

Religious jokes are nothing but either an Atheist/Christian/Muslim/etc. trying to tell someone they are wrong when nobody has any proof.

We let them worship whatever, this post was funny, there was a punchline, you act like it was just "Ha, religion peple r dum. Atheism r smart."

..But why?
User avatar #195 to #83 - sadaros (01/28/2013) [-]
Well, we use a pc at church during service, so its good to have net on it, and we just left the WiFi open because there was no reason to lock it
User avatar #196 to #195 - jinjo (01/28/2013) [-]
Oh that makes sense,

But out of cuiouity, what do you use the PC for during mass?
User avatar #197 to #196 - sadaros (01/28/2013) [-]
We have the lyrics of the songs we sing, and if we show like a video

And music for after service
User avatar #198 to #197 - jinjo (01/28/2013) [-]
Kinda makes you wonder why most churches don't do that. I imagine a lot of it has to do with how apprehensive people are with modernizng anything religion based.
User avatar #199 to #198 - sadaros (01/28/2013) [-]
Yeah, alot of old people deciding all church related matters. If only more kids(12-21 y/o) knew that you could actually help with deciding what is happening in church...

I would call it PRAY-FI.
