If it's artificially produced then what energy output was used, because it could very well be far less efficient than wood or charcoal.

This guy knows what's up, not bloody eco friendly energy, not practical ability, the only thing that matters is the god damn efficiency

Are you an idiot? The glass isn't burning its just a cover like those fake burning logs for gas fireplaces and pits. Its literally just a bunch crushed colored glass that can withstand the heat of a natural gas or propane flame. You are however correct in that they are tempered to withstand high heat and are non toxic and safe. As well as natural gas and propane is more environmentally friendly than wood because many particles in wood when combusted are airborne carcinogens.

It also helps to disperse heat evenly.

Combustion ALWAYS produces carbon dioxide and water and incomplete reactions produce carbon monoxide. It's giving off smoke you just can't see it. Its a gas line underneath the crystals my friend.

That's what I thought, looks like the fire's just pasted onto a picture of a pot of glass.
Either OP is a dumb cunt and posted a photoshopped picture with an oh-so-legit explanation, or OP is a dumb cunt that reposted a photoshopped picture believing some other dumb cunt's scientifically impossible explanation

although the last bit is true its not true that combustion always produces carbon dioxide
as an example the combustion of hydrogen (H2) only produces water

I will give the makers of this a blank check with my name on it. They can put down any amount of money and I will pay it.

That is just a gas burner with glass over the top. I do this every day for my job. I work for Frontier Fuel Lines. Look it up.

I personally spent way to long looking into this. Thought it was magic, but nope. But, now I'm intrigued by it. How much does a complete set up run ya? I've seen 'em for roughly $400, w.o installation. GIF related, it's me.
