Oh **** , Obama has a daughter but Hitler didn't, that means that Obama purposefully had a daughter so he could try to distance himself from the appearance of being Hitler because in reality he's so much like Hitler!
Oh yea and in case you guys missed it HE'S BLACK! AND WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH BLACK PEOPLE HATE GUNS.
It just gets deeper man.

I hope everyone realizes that the assault weapons ban isn't anything new. We had one up until 2004 - he's just putting the old one back.

I'd consider it fair enough but seems kinda silly since they chopped off the balls of ATF, the ones supposed to uphold the thousands upon thousands gunlaws already in effect.
User avatar #475 - littlehozz (01/25/2013) [-]
anyone notice ther making assault rifles illeagle even though they werent involved in the last three masacres they are saying are the reason they being banned

User avatar #521 to #475 - WHATTHEPISSTRAINE (01/25/2013) [-]
Its not assault rifles, its whats known as assault weapons... And a bushmaster AR was used in the newtown shooting. IT s considered an assault weapon because it looks like an AR15 but isnt... All the ban does is ban guns because they look dangerous... Thats like banning Spoilers on cars because they look fast, or banning man boobs because they look offensive

I wonder how many people hear actually read what the executive orders were...

Examples:

Hire a Director for the ATF (we haven't had one for years [thanks Clinton!])

Launch a educational campaign about safe gun ownership

A national dialogue on mental health

Direct the CDC to conduct a study of the causes of gun violence and prevention

That **** don't sound like Hitler.

Hitler did use fear and promises of security to strip citizens of their rights while also promoting nationalism which is kind of the modern patriotism fore some americans. Bush and then Obama have been striping the citizens of their rights and promoting fear since 9/11. Also the first picture is pointing out that it's very similar how the both are using children to influence on people's emotions so that they support him while his taking away their right.

>Hitler did use fear and promises of security to strip citizens of their rights while also promoting nationalism which is kind of the modern patriotism fore some americans.

Germany was enacting gun control long before hitler's rise to power, If I remember correctly it was a few years after World War I. Furthermore, If I'm not mistaken, after world war I, Germany lost a lot of its rights as a country.

>Bush and then Obama have been striping the citizens of their rights and promoting fear since 9/11.

We were doing this **** long before 9/11. Like way back in the 40's-70's (The cold war and the "red scare").

>Also the first picture is pointing out that it's very similar how the both are using children to influence on people's emotions so that they support him while his taking away their right.

While I may agree with you that it's wrong to do that, every politician does that at some point in their lifetime.
#464 to #453 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
I'd say the same thing. when Hitler came around he was the one who GOT THE JOB DONE. Same as know it's getting easier with the "terrorist menace" and all this shootings. Which some people think are on purpose so that it's easier for them. i don't know. But I do know, that they shouldn't be taking the guns because some people are using them that way and making gun-free zones. It's counter productive.
#432 to #430 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
I guess it's debatable if the end result they're planning is a totalitarian state. But if you have:
rights taken away from people
people getting dumber
government getting bigger
I think that someone will see the opportunity and take it. ( for power or profit, who knows).
User avatar #465 to #432 - huntergriff (01/25/2013) [-]
indeed, honestly I'm curious to see how all of this will pan out in the coming months.

All leaders use fear to gain peoples trust, And do you think everyone in the U.S.A is mentally capable of handling firearms, I just think that if you had just tighter laws on how you got the guns, it would stop many murders and first time criminals, It works here in Australia, I think your laws on BB guns should stay the same though, cause here in Australia they are classified as a L class weapon Same as a handgun which is silly.
Should be a bit tighter, and why would you need 30 rounds in a urban area?
I like how you Gave me a proper response instead of just going
Obama is like Hitler cause he is taking our guns and freedom type thing

Because, first. They also make schools gun-safe areas. Which means they're easy meat. Second, it doesn't stop people from getting guns illegally. Third, the amount of rounds is needed, because the second amendment is also because people need to be armed so in case someone tries to become a tyrant they can defend themselves.
User avatar #518 to #456 - MistaJesus (01/25/2013) [-]
Unless you have a tank you're not going to be able to defend yourself against a tyrant. It's also important to make it difficult for criminals to attain guns. If they can find a way around the laws, which many will, then oh well. But we can't just go around throwing guns into the hands of everyone, because a murderer could be ANYONE.
#559 to #518 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
Hey, other countries manage against your army, don't they? Also, I don't think that the army would be that numerous or that it'd be able to use many resources because it would be at war with their population and I don't think many soldiers would like to be killing their family or of other soldiers. And it's still better than just surrendering all your guns. It also means that the people are willing to give away their rights.
User avatar #466 to #456 - kasperscar (01/25/2013) [-]
Its harder to get a gun illegally in your country than it is legally which is kinda silly, because the average criminal can just get one or the newbie , The school thing is stupid, They should have Armed police in the area constantly, and how can someone become a tyrant?
#473 to #466 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
Well, in the eyes of some you're becoming a totalitarian state. And not just rednecks who think Obama is a muslim and the antichrist. Also, there will still be illegal trading of weapons just as there are hookers and drugs. Sure, you can have armed policemen i guess, but you're still the first line of defense.
User avatar #476 to #473 - kasperscar (01/25/2013) [-]
Yeah but hookers and drugs are child friendly
and Yeah i get what you are saying,
No matter what we cannot stop criminals, but we can lessen the amount of criminals by tightening laws and much harsher punishments.
#486 to #476 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
No you cannot. It's the one constant that prevails always. No matter how much laws you pass and hor harder the punishment, there's still people willing to do it because, **** , maybe they don't think they'll get caught. Also, in various countries crime goes down, in a big way, when people are allowed and encouraged to be packing. so...
User avatar #490 to #486 - kasperscar (01/25/2013) [-]
People think twice, what i am saying, not matter what there will be criminals its apart of every economy, Also if everyone is packing, then someone who is less trained and more prone to anxiety could shoot up some black kid who looked like he was armed but was not, Is this a familiar story?
#555 to #490 - selfdenyingbeggar (01/25/2013) [-]
Well, sounds like something someone racist would say as a defense. But I don't think that would happen very often. Carrying the gun is sufficient to make you feel safe. Just showing it would be enough I think, pointing it more severe and having to actually shooot, it, I guess the other guy really wanted to kill you and it's good you have a gun. And seriously, I'm not making this up. Stats have shown that crime does go down when people are carrying. suddenly you, as the agressor, don't know who is helppless and who isn't.

You're right. Dictatorships are outdated. It could never happen in the states.

MFW I respect OP because he isn't an idiot like people who seriously compare Hitler to Obama

I suppose you think it's idiotic to compare Bush to Hitler as well, yes?
User avatar #463 to #438 - Yojimbo (01/25/2013) [-]
No I don't think it could happen in the states.
I think it is idiotic to say Bush was trying to takeover and become a dictator if that's what you're asking me.
Oh, and to answer your unsaid question, I would probably respect you more if you logged in and stood by your words.
