If he is colorblind, then how do you know what he perceives colors as? His yellow could be your magenta for example.

His eye Doctor says he can't see green. But he did a test to see his colors and the eye Doctor noticed that he saw green an orange.

Now I am curious how the doctor could figure that out. Maybe using objects of established colors somehow. but it still doesn't answer how it can be established what color someone see's when they don't see as most people do. Maybe through an invasive procedure....Not doubting you. just curious now. TO GOOGLE!

I'm red green colorblind, it affects certain shades. This one I see perfectly well, however some appear to be different colors.
ex) olive green comes off as a off pink/purplish color to me.

If I remember correctly its cause red shift are things moving away. Blue shift is when things are coming towards you (In a sense). The bumper sticker is red, meaning the car it is on is moving away from the reader. But in physics it would "become" blue if you sped up and caught up to the car.

I think I got that right.

Pretty close at least.
What color light is perceived as depends on the frequency and wavelength, so depending on the speed you are approaching or moving away from the source of the light, you shift the appearance of the light along the range.
Since light moves at... well... the speed of light, this means you'll shift the appearance of the light along the spectrum by a multiplier equivalent to 1+the fraction of the speed of light you are approaching the source. In other words to perceive that bumper sticker as blue, you'd have to be closing in on the car by 81,761,579 meters per second.

nope, red shift is due to objects moving away, hence why red shift seen throughout the universe helps support the Big Bang
