"This is just not a thought that you have!"

Well thank you for telling me what i think when i spot a worm. Yes, i actually do have these thoughts, not in those same words, but i have them. The way it works with me is "i wonder what motivates this worm's actions..." that opens up a lot of questions, cognition being one of them.

i think were not alone in the universe because why would the universe be so big to hold only just us? and i also dont believe aliens are all space techy. they might be at the same level as us.

You can't tell me that I'm the only one that wants to know what animals are thinking sometimes? That's crazy..... right....?
User avatar #208 to #196 - bokkos ONLINE (01/22/2013) [-]
Well it's largely dependent if the animal is sapient or not; A dog wouldn't be so interesting, but a dolphin would be sick, as a lot of their environmental awareness is based on echolocation.

eat pee sleep.

kidding aside i think it would be intresting to see my dogs emotion or see a birds thoughts.

A very similar speech was given in Full Metal Alchemist. (Although about god)
However, if Neil actually said this first, then he deserves credit.

I bet they don't interact is because we are not technologically, mentally, and spiritually ready, we are probabley like a giant nature reserve with certain alien scientists aloud to visit and study us.

What about the tapeworm in the last guy's gf's ******* ?

I think it was actually just a Moa foot.
#177 - anonymous (01/22/2013) [-]
Actually... I wonder these things all the time, and how we might one day communicate with lower creatures in some way. So who's to say that some individuals from a super species wouldn't one day try to contact us?

Babylon 5, anyone?

"An Ant.

I have just picked it up on the tip of my glove. If I put it down again, and it asks another ant, "what was that?"

How would it explain? There are things in the universe billions of years older than either of our races. They're vast, timeless, and if they're aware of us at all, it is as little more than ants, and we have as much chance of communicating with them as an ant has with us. We know, we've tried, and we've learned that we can either stay out from underfoot or be stepped on."

lol this is why I love my career. I see the normal folk see and consider what I deal with daily and they are amazed. Imagine if you were of my intellect.

ill bet the worm in the gutter is a tapeworm, tossed out of a window in a mad panic after it had become wrapped around the tip of a dick mid buttsecks. but the guy walking by the house doesnt know that. he just thinks how much smarter he is than the worm lying in the gutter.

what about the people that study worms?
what about the people that study worms?
#188 to #146 - anonymous (01/22/2013) [-]
I'm pretty sure the worms are not aware that they are being observed.
User avatar #145 - bossmanholms ONLINE (01/22/2013) [-]
and yet there are scientists whos entire life is dedicated to worms also if worms had the ability to communicate that would be enough for us to study them even more much less have the complexities of humans.

Aliens doesn't exists. They are "existed" because of our optimism that there must be at least a life (at least ancient micro creatures) in this vast infinite universe. But there are no evidence proves they are exists (source: Howard Smith, astrophysicist at Harvard University). This is why atheists were flawed. Science is based on logical evidences, but without evidence of aliens, atheists believe that aliens are exist. Are you ******* kidding me? What is your arguments? You rejected God because there is no evidence that He exists but you accept aliens without evidence that they are exists? Your arguments are flawed.
#193 to #144 - anonymous (01/22/2013) [-]
ONE astrophysicist from ONE ivy league school doesn't mean crap.
Second you assume only atheists believe this to fit your worldview that atheists are bad.
Thirdly, if life exists on other planets (bacterial) and we are here you can infer that intelligent life elsewhere exists since it exists in two different separated places AND the universe is too damn big for the statistics to say only WE exist.
User avatar #142 - crazyhindu (01/22/2013) [-]
what if, now bear with me here, what if we haven't come in contact with alien beings because they are at the same technological standpoint we are at and are wondering why they haven't been contacted by aliens yet
