All new cars for like 3 years now have the "dead" angle removed by curving the side mirror a little bit.

To be fair to the 'lorry driver' if i was on a bike i would not be there, you can clearly see that, that lory is going to turn left and you know due to the size of the vehicle they may not be able to see you.

when i use to ride my bike (before i could drive) i hated lorries and busses and generaly anything bigger than a van. i was just scared of getting hit, id adviod them as much as i could.

The whole idea of the wing mirror is so that you CAN see that spot. You don't adjust it so that you can look at the side of your own vehicle just for shits and giggles.

Also, the lorry is pivoting now but the driver should have seen the bikes before he started turning, he should have looked even before his left indicator went on.

This really has little to do with blind spots, although everyone seems to be saying things like 'And this is why you should check your blind spot!'. It's a fucking semi. There is no rear windshield. You check your blind spot by sticking your head out the damn window, which is manifestly unsafe for the driver and anyone near him. That's why they have those multiple large mirrors. This is just a case of bad mirror angle, as the title even says. Stop derping on about blind spots.
