Demagnetized magnets?
Demagnetized magnets?
User avatar #112 to #111 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]
they were attracted to the wrong poles.
User avatar #113 to #112 - thedarkestrogue (01/18/2013) [-]
Who says they were attracted? If they were demagnetized they could just be placed next to each other. They're essentially just metal at that point.
User avatar #114 to #113 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]
well being that i put them together and saw them pull toward each other north to north..
User avatar #135 to #114 - thedarkestrogue (01/18/2013) [-]
Where did you find them? Chances are wherever you got them, they were already demagnetized then. Or they could just have their N and S labels wrong.
User avatar #136 to #135 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]
they were just standard magnets from a package that our electronics teacher bought. they were meant for educational use.
User avatar #149 to #136 - thedarkestrogue (01/18/2013) [-]
that is why. Educational use magnets are terrible. They're usually low quality. My teacher bought a 10 pack and none of them were properly magnetized. They lost their pull within two days.
User avatar #150 to #149 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]
they were bought for educational use, not designed for it. there was a set of magnets out as well that were from a couple years ago but from the same model, and still had good tug.
User avatar #152 to #150 - thedarkestrogue (01/18/2013) [-]
well then I give up its a mystery and I'm fucking starving.

Then you divided by zero, simple as that.
User avatar #108 - TheOriginalNerd (01/18/2013) [-]
whos to say they are even magnetic!
#103 - theguythatisnotyou (01/18/2013) [-]
They are either heated, or they were hit very hard.
#124 to #103 - iamphoenix (01/18/2013) [-]
Or they had a charge sent through them and the poles flipped.
User avatar #104 to #103 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]
they were fresh out of a bag at the beginning of class, other students used them though. there was plenty of other stuff to mess with so i doubt anyone bothered to bring or use and of the tools required to reverse polarity.
#105 to #104 - theguythatisnotyou (01/18/2013) [-]
I demand a timestamp.
#106 to #105 - garymotherfinoak (01/18/2013) [-]

there should be a way to see the imbedded timestamp found in phone camera photos.

they were taken out of a fresh bag of 20 at random in electronics class.
