Mix other emotions with humor and the humorous content will have a greater effect. When I watch Family Guy, which is just joke after joke, my mind gets numbed by the amusement and I can't appreciate laughing as much as when I watch Futurama.

When he went to the past, he hadn't been born yet. And as such, he had no blood relation to the woman he slept with, therefor it couldn't be incest.

The guy who disappears is Ben, Dr. Cox's best friend, who has cancer, the whole episode is with Ben coming back from a few years travelling, without seeing any doctors, and the lead up to Dr. Cox's son's birthday, so at the very end, this is how we find out Ben died, Dr. Cox was imagining him the entire episode.

Jurassic Bark is well renown as the most feel full episode. But I think Luck of the Fryrish is one of the most under rated episodes ever. "Phillip J. Fry. Named for his uncle, to cary on his spirit."

So when Fry found his dead Nephew, named by his brother, after him you didn't feel anything?!
