We were talking about this in World lit 2110 today. The prof was talking about how in the rules of theater you are never supposed to mix tragedy and comedy. But I guess rules were meant to be broken.

These are the reasons why I will always like Futurama more than Family Guy

it didn't give me much of a feel, but "The Late Philip J. Fry" is one my all-time favorite episodes

Brace yourself for the feel.
Fry and Leela end up together, when they marry, Scruffy gives them his shares in Planet Express as a wedding gift so they can live more comfortably without worry of their future. However, tragedy will take Leela from Fry before her time. The original planet express crew, save Fry, pass away.
Fry travels back in time to before the year 3000 and takes a job as a janitor, putting all of his wages (except what he needs to get by) towards stock in the small delivery company he works for.
That's why Scruffy is so relaxed all the time. He's been through every moment once before, he came back to spend the rest of his days reliving his life with Leela.

Yeah, the Seymour one is sad, but god damn, the seven leafed clover gets me every time.
